11 November 2005, 04:12 AM (

hi i'm finally here i haven't had much time and i finally got somthing i like , so here goes. I going to try to illustrate as best i can a couple of bitter women who go around dressed as brides crashing weddings chopping off the grooms wedding band hand and stealing the ring, but thats back story i', relly goim=n to do them fleeing from the police in a high speed chase .

more on this later .

the work posted is incre4dible but i haven't commented much, to much work during the day, good luck all

11 November 2005, 05:53 PM
hey, jason welcome to the contest, hope to see some great stuff come from you holla!

11 November 2005, 05:35 PM (

lineart done i did some on seperate pieces of paper scanned it then did the rest in photoshop, cropped a tilted it
for the action angle .

11 November 2005, 05:44 PM (

i'll start colouring next .I did this get the right feel the for the contrast,
the shadows are not as dark as i might do them but thats enough for me to tell
its also a confidence booster.I'll also fix the perspective on the bike and stuff , to stop it from looking like two bikes instead of one

any kinda comments welcome

11 November 2005, 02:38 AM
ah nothing like girls with guns on a motorcycle... very cool concept. keep the updates comming ;)

11 November 2005, 06:39 AM (

11 November 2005, 06:44 AM (

11 November 2005, 03:24 AM (

i trying somthing risky no doubt seeing as how its kinda late, but i think ilike this approach much better than the other,I gotten rid of the guns an such and related it to what its was really about, crashing the wedding.i was really batteling to get sketch explains it self as much as possible and despite the guns its so much more spectacular

11 November 2005, 09:36 AM
is the bouquet being stolen? - nice touch. I definitely prefer this idea - great scope for shocked spectators.

11 November 2005, 10:39 AM
i sensed this is gonna be great~judging from the line art~:thumbsup:dramatic

11 November 2005, 01:00 PM
HAHA! Amazing face expressions! I just keep laughing when i look at the woman holding the ring and bouqet!! I just discovered shes kicking that guy, making her even more hilarious! Try to keep their expressions and poses as much as possible in your coloring and this will be great!

11 November 2005, 11:02 PM
Nice update! It just keeps getting better and better!

11 November 2005, 04:21 AM (

finally real colour, I find when I go straight i get better results than when I try to paint everything just a little to sketchy . I guess I don't quite have the colour sketch thing down yet. any way more to come

11 November 2005, 04:45 AM
thanks for the encouragement i need it

11 November 2005, 04:48 AM

11 November 2005, 05:30 AM
hey i think it looks fine here,i like it warm~:)

11 November 2005, 07:14 AM
i really don't think the colors ar comming out looks so coooolllll:cool: wow...thati is off the scale character quality...they look so realistic...  i can't stop drooling:drool:

11 November 2005, 08:45 AM
This is soo cool! Impressive quality so far. I hope you can finish this in time cause it's gonna be one of the runner-ups!
The only minor problem I see is in the driver's right arm.I have the feeling that there is something wrong there. Anyway...good work mate!

11 November 2005, 04:26 PM
Looking very good, lynch, love those expressions on those women! The poses I am diggin' too!Hurry dude!

11 November 2005, 05:50 PM
hehe an original and good picture:wip: but I saw a bit weird the right legs of the main characters. The leg of the girl with the bunch....perhaps I should change the perspective a little bit.

Love their expressions,haha

Good luck!!

11 November 2005, 03:03 PM (

finally i got a chance yeterday to do more, plus the day before i added a whole lot mor color than before , changed the bike size and i think i'll stick to the original face for the shotgun riding bride , it has more appeal.

11 November 2005, 03:23 PM
next i'll add more guests and a couple of flying things you might find at a wedding and fix that other girl . It's not as spectacular as i imagine, it's so hard to paint whats in my head ,but then again i often imagine in motion not stills , so it can be hard to find just the right layout.

anyway back to the tablet and cough syrup,
it seem i only get to do this when i'm sick

HARSH crits welcome it makes me satisfied

Well, I wouldnt sell yourself short. I think you have a fantastic image. I think "spectacular" is open to interpretation and your image is definitely in the lines of a scene that has that stickyness that makes an image memorable. While alot of artists (including mysef) tend to rely on things like size and scale to express something spectacular, you've achieved it without the need for it, something that can be quite difficult to do. Your line work is excellent and your coloring is coming along great. Even if its coming down to the wire, I think youre pacing yourself nicely. Great work as far as im concerned. -J

11 November 2005, 08:59 PM
love it! hehe... esspecially the expression on the first girl on the bike. I hole u will succeed on those other faces too (I dont doubt it acctually) and the pic will be very alive :) keep up the great work!

11 November 2005, 11:43 PM
this one is real spectacular.

11 November 2005, 01:12 AM
Let's try to keep this on the front page this is to sweet! Face is looking lovely, composition is working well the colors are phenominal! 12 days!

11 November 2005, 01:21 AM
Just found this, it is looking goood!

11 November 2005, 02:02 AM
This looks amazing. Your work really depresses me because it is so good ;) You seem to be very confident with your brush strokes and I love that style.

My only query would be in regards to the tables in the background. Are they are the right tilt for the image in relation to the bike? I could be wrong but they seem to me slightly too tilted.

11 November 2005, 02:16 AM
Fabulous painting, great movement, drama and facial expresions. Every bride's nightmare.

11 November 2005, 03:47 AM
thanks guys , i think i will make it to the end, although that second face is killing me

11 November 2005, 02:42 AM (

more colour more people more action to come,i'm still wodering how sharp i should paint the background objects.

11 November 2005, 02:51 AM
hey lync thanks for the the crit i did not even notice the tables were so slanted so i went at them again, i think thats better now i think

11 November 2005, 02:55 AM
those wine glasses are hideous i'll see if i can do better

11 November 2005, 03:04 AM
Yep, the tables are heaps better. I love the extra details you've put in, and the lighting.

There is something about this painting which makes me want to just stare and stare. I love it, but I do have a few more crits for you though. The arm of the girl in the front doesn't seem to be at the right angle goin off the page. The ring the girl at the back is holding is far too big. Her arm holding the flowers seems a bit pinched at the elbow and her head seems a fraction too large maybe.

I love the addition of the glasses in the foreground makes that space a lot less empty. (They need a little more work on them though to get them looking right).

This painting is definitely a winner if you finish in time :)

11 November 2005, 03:16 AM
good crit good crit that ring is to big and her head could used some mor shadow underneath the neck to get it looking like it's the right size.

11 November 2005, 12:07 PM
Very dynamically and cheerfully...)) colors like me..)

11 November 2005, 04:38 AM
Hi Jason took me a while to get here but U know.. ANyhow look good man only thing I think that you should add is some speed streaks to imply motion. But keep it up looking good.

11 November 2005, 05:40 AM
Wow nice job so far!

11 November 2005, 08:02 AM
hi man! I must confes that I didnt read the story of ur picture before, I was just admireing ur painting skills. But now, that I see whats that all about, I must congratulate u again. I so much love the humor thats going on here, the faces of those rebelion girls, their expressions and ofcors the bride in the back, her really surpriced look and ofcors all other little details that talk for them self. there is just a right amount of information to know everything that viewer should know and still not filling the image to much or make it hard to read. Thats hard to do, so I must say it again, a marvelous piece! good luck!

11 November 2005, 04:27 PM
Jason, Great picture. The light and color are excellent. You've really captured the wedding photo style which works so great for this. I dont think you need to sharpen the background at all. Its the perfect hazy wedding photo background. The bride looks great. I do think you should add more indications of guests in the bg though. It looks like a poor turnout now. Your figure work is very good, although I dont like the shoe on the foreground guy.
Really good stuff. Keep it coming.

11 November 2005, 05:27 PM
wow... amazing piece ... i love your brushwork and the colors are working very well!

The bride in the back is my favorite part atm :D gj .. keep on like this

11 November 2005, 06:02 PM
This is looking really nice, Lynch. The addition of the background really helps set the scene. I agree with Zanne's comment on adding more guests, but I don't think that you need too much more detail in the background. Keep it lose and rough, it looks good!

I really like the face of the girl riding the motorcycle - both pretty and evil all together. The one behind her certainly looks evil... but nowhere near as pretty. I think it's in the nose: The angle on the nose is as though it were seen from below. But the shape of the face is long as if it were a straight-ahead view. The forehead seems a bit long, and the space between the nose and the eyes seems really short, relative to each other and the camera angle. I think a little facial-feature shifting could really help to make her face work a bit better with the tough angle you've chosen. Hope you don't mind my pointing it out. Good luck!

11 November 2005, 09:10 PM
Looking good, I really didn't like your piece until you last post. The background really adds a lot. Agree about some more people. Maybe adding a photographer kneeling in the background would be a nice touch.

11 November 2005, 09:15 PM
While I've been more than impressed by the speedy development of this piece - and bow in gratitude at your display of lighting, and for picking out detail.... I HAVE to say that I'm not convinced by the right leg of the pillion rider... the one doin' the kickin'.

11 November 2005, 11:17 PM (

hey thanks for the comments guys i tried to fix a bit more , and i see that you crit me on the same things like the guest and the girls face and leg ,those things were on my mind as well but i'm glad others pointed them out.
Thanks again my finals will be after this for sure ,good luck everybody.

12 December 2005, 01:51 AM
This one is turning out great! I love it! Your final details were the perfect touch. Best of luck.

12 December 2005, 06:24 AM
Excellent Progress!! This is looking Spectacular!

12 December 2005, 06:46 AM
great colors mate~the lighting and all~love the way u did the bride where's she's off focus and that wedding crasher is damn mean~haha.excelent job and good luck!

12 December 2005, 08:02 AM
In such a short amount of time this piece really has come together. I love it.

I am looking forward to seeing the finished piece.

12 December 2005, 11:45 AM
Great concept man. Only one leg is not too good. You should correct it becouse it is only one poor element of your great picture.

12 December 2005, 01:36 PM
title. wedding crashers

my addition or obnoxious family members.

great work keep going.

12 December 2005, 09:48 PM
that damn leg arrgh i think i'll just draw it from a pose or something
i think i keep making the mistake because i'm working on the leg by it self and not as part of the whole body.

12 December 2005, 10:56 AM
you can try using the liquify tool to mess around with the leg position in a non destructive way...anyway...are u sure the problem lies in the leg itself or is it that the entire leg is placed too high?...she seems to have a very small body this way...

12 December 2005, 02:43 AM (

i think the legs passable now, a little more work maybe

what do you think.

12 December 2005, 02:50 AM
this is a really interesting piece,I think the leg still has problem, maybe you should make it longer and make the direction of the toes up, it should looks more natural .others are great, and the facial expression are really cool as well ,keep it up :)

12 December 2005, 02:59 AM
hi there, :)
that's very nice looking pic,
impresive light and detail, :applause:
good luck

12 December 2005, 03:46 AM
Looking pretty much done...!
The blue green light coming from the lower corner is a neat addition, but it feels odd to see it on her leg: wouldn't the motorcycle be blocking that light from hitting that leg?
Anyhow, good luck with the last day or so!

12 December 2005, 09:31 AM
Wow good job. It looks great!

12 December 2005, 01:09 AM (

It was incredible I was at this wedding I was hired to take some photos for the new couple at thier reception.
I think I was more interested in the food and the other women around. I finally had a while to relax, got some food and had a little to much wine. I started to feel light headed and I guess thats why i didn't pay notice the comotion going on further up the hall, there was some screaming an people started to run around I thought it was just the alchohol at first
then outta no where, or at least thats how it seemed under the influence, these two women came riding on this big ass motor cycle through the room with the bride chasing after them screaming things I don't wanna repeat. i didn't even think it was real until they got within yards of were I was. Then I thought to myself in those few seconds maybe it isn't
the alcohol , so quickly I jumped outta the way camera in one hand , glass of wine in the other, bam took a shot with the camera by accident
an a shot of alchohol on purpose, right as there passing with what seemed to be the bouquet and wedding band, evil laughs and expressions all the way.It wasn't until I checked to see if my cam was working that i saw i had taken one of the most
spectacular shots of my career by mistake & I also noticed those women were... fairly hot. I mean it was exciting the lighting the the accindental angle the guy falling outta his chair to get outta the way ha ha ... and did i metion the women were hot,
its really done justice to my portfolio. Although i am sorry for the bride, cause they obviously away and i hear thier still out there crashing weddings.

anyway that pretty much sky rocketed my career as a photographer.

12 December 2005, 01:13 AM
wonderful and spectacular image! Good luck to you!

12 December 2005, 04:41 AM
Congratulations! Great job!

You really have a great understanding of colour and you have a great skill with highlights and secondary light sources. I love it!

Now you can at last relax after such a frenzy of brilliant painting. :)

12 December 2005, 07:36 PM
Thank But I Don't Think I'll Be Relaxing , Need To Practice Alot And I Got Alot Of Ideas I Thought Of Along The Way That I Still Want To Produce.

Good Luck Everyone

12 December 2005, 08:10 PM
