After sketching for a while and filtering out my bad ideas, I stand whit two ideas I like left.
1. Hear freak speak. So called "freaks" used to be seen as spectacular "objects" in the old times.
2. An airship or a flying bus (cruise busses) agency opening somewhere in the distant future.

09-06-2005, 08:58 AM
hello my friend!!!
wellcome and good luck!!:)

09-06-2005, 09:06 AM
Cool I like both ideas!! nice work so far, can't wait to see more!! :D

09-06-2005, 09:58 AM
Hello, I like both ideas too. But maybe more the first one..I got something with old times recently lol...Good Luck!

09-06-2005, 10:00 AM
Thanks a lot people =)
That's really encoraging me.

I decided to go for the freak one, more will come soon :)

I don't always do this, but I want the poor guy to stand on a box near the road.
In cases like this if feel I have to use solid lines to help me as the sketch tend to be a little messy.

09-06-2005, 07:47 PM
Hi Valentina, all the best to you and every single of your tentacles. That theme about freaks is definitly a clever idea. What about placing him into a carnival setting, great dramatic opportunities to set him into a spectecular context?

09-06-2005, 09:40 PM
http://features.cgsociety.org/challenge/entries/10/7971/7971_1126042806_medium.jpg (http://features.cgsociety.org/challenge/entries/10/7971/7971_1126042806_large.jpg)

I started filling in the two most important people. I went a little more in detail whit the freak, as he is a little more complicated. I need to fix his anatomy a little though, I want the muscles to be misshapen and in terrible conditions, but still correctly placed.

09-06-2005, 09:42 PM
lol,nice freak!!! keep goin

09-06-2005, 09:47 PM
Nice perspective setup.

09-06-2005, 09:48 PM
Eric- Good idea =D
Nubian- Thank you
verdell- Thank you too :)

09-06-2005, 09:52 PM
Freaky freak, he doesn't look too happy. How about having him nearer the camera, filling more of the image?

09-06-2005, 09:57 PM
hmm, that could be something, but I what it to look a little crowded. I'm temted to give it a try when I get the others in there :)

09-07-2005, 04:01 AM
hie lady medusa!good luck to u my friend~keep going,pretty welldone perspectively~:)

09-07-2005, 09:29 AM

I've put on some more people and selected some of the colors for the backround

I'm not quite sure how I want it to look yet. I made a quick more comic-based sketch of the scene. He got more far away, but now I feel I got more of an "dramatical" light effect and more environment. I'm not sure what would look the best; having him close or having more environments?

09-09-2005, 04:00 PM
I really do preffer the last one. It's leaning a lot more thoward Tim Burton in mood and is deffenently my favorite.

09-09-2005, 07:30 PM
Hallooo!!! How are you Valentine??!! :p

Nice to see you around!!! I realy like your idea!! freak!!

I can't see you on the msn more... the unversity, you know... but I'll check your work to see your progress...

Good luck friend:wavey: !!!

09-10-2005, 02:51 AM
I do like the last view you did, but im not sure if this concept is as spectacular as you can think up. Maybe it's too early to say, but that's just how I feel atm, ignore it if you wish.

09-10-2005, 07:09 AM
Alexander- Thank you :D

Ducklator- Thank you, I've been rather "busy" lately, so I guess that has something to do whit it. See you around ;)

Ace- :/, I've been thinking about that too, but I'm going whit it until I'm convinced about this being a bad idea and I get a better one

09-10-2005, 05:29 PM
http://features.cgsociety.org/challenge/entries/10/7971/7971_1126373379_medium.jpg (http://features.cgsociety.org/challenge/entries/10/7971/7971_1126373379_large.jpg)

First on, I paint the moon.
After spending a few hours studying Victorian lamps and furniture, I figured my lamp was way off. So I made one based how they actually looked, although the color may still change.
When coloring I toggle the lines. I'm not going to have them there on the final result. I feel that the quality gets better this way.

09-10-2005, 07:05 PM
uh...just a little advice...if the moon and the lamp play a big part in the composition don't let the lamp stay that close to the edge of the painting!
Anyway...nice lamp and relaxing mood!

keep it comin'!

09-10-2005, 07:12 PM
Enrico- Allredy turned the lamp around :D
I feel confortable having the lights placed early so I don't confuse the shadows.

09-10-2005, 07:14 PM
nice progress, lighting is very difficult to achieve.

09-13-2005, 09:18 AM
http://features.cgsociety.org/challenge/entries/10/7971/7971_1126603086_medium.jpg (http://features.cgsociety.org/challenge/entries/10/7971/7971_1126603086_large.jpg)

I started whit the dark color on the road and sidewalk, then filled in the lighter area. I might change the color of the house and the windows will be rounder on the top of them.

09-13-2005, 02:06 PM
http://features.cgsociety.org/challenge/entries/10/7971/7971_1126620395_medium.jpg (http://features.cgsociety.org/challenge/entries/10/7971/7971_1126620395_large.jpg)

Now I'm really in doubt. Should I stick whit the old "freak"-concept, although I feel a little bad for him, or should I change to either the pirates concept or the nuclear/just gigantic squid-like beast eating the futuristic train?
Either way, I am going to finish the old one, but saying it was spectacular to see a freak in the Victorian times and enter it to a spectacular contest is almost a little like saying "it was really spectacular", or so I feel, but at the same time it's not.

09-13-2005, 02:52 PM
I like both ideas, but for your skills and your style art, I vote for the giant squid:thumbsup:

mucha suerte señorita, te deseo lo mejor y da lo mjor de ti ok?!!:D

09-13-2005, 03:11 PM
Or maybe I could combine them... I'll make another :)

Grasias señor. I will :D (hope I understood correctly)

Valentina Rosalia D'Este is entered in the "Spectacular Challenge" update: View Challenge Page (http://features.cgsociety.org/challenge/spectacular/view_entries.php?challenger=7971)

Latest Update: Concept Sketch: Pirates? Squid? Or stick whit the old one?
http://features.cgsociety.org/challenge/entries/10/7971/7971_1126620395_medium.jpg (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?p=2636202#post2636202)

The Freak concept is a cool idea even though and as you said one could say "it was spectacular" more than it is. However, imagine such a scene in let say 2050 or 2105 ?? What could be the freak thing at this time ??
Otherwise if you drop the freak concept, I think the Squid is more spectacular than the pirates but it's just my personal opinion.
In all cases, good luck!!!

09-13-2005, 06:03 PM
http://features.cgsociety.org/challenge/entries/10/7971/7971_1126634615_medium.jpg (http://features.cgsociety.org/challenge/entries/10/7971/7971_1126634615_large.jpg)

Yes! That's it! Lets merge the two ideas!
The pirate in the foreground has just been marooned on a deserted island (his pet could come whit him :)).
Now we see more of the squid too.

09-13-2005, 07:04 PM
yeah... Coolest image Lady:buttrock:

You're right señorita:)

09-13-2005, 09:41 PM
nice idea, have fun and good luck :wavey:

09-13-2005, 10:52 PM
is cool cause the man looks like he's not sure if he's hallucinating :)

09-13-2005, 11:09 PM
lol..what squib said :D

Cool idea, definitly the coolest of your concepts.
Looking forward to see this develope, keep it up!

09-14-2005, 08:42 AM
good goin' Valentina! Remember not to put the squib.. erm, squid too close to the shore.
Otherwise they'll both look stranded. I like the idea of drunken pirates. You could make a small band of pirates drinking rum and having fun, while one pirate notice the squip.

09-14-2005, 08:53 AM
Good idea Lady! just want to see more! keep going on!! and good luck:)

09-14-2005, 09:03 AM
Thank you guys
Squibbit- :D Exactly my toughts
Art2- I'll move him a little back :) Other pirates could be funny, but I'm not shure how to fit them in whitout shinking the pirate.

09-14-2005, 02:40 PM
You could putt in some depth by inserting some pirates in the distance that swim from the boat to the shore, in escape. Or try to atleast.

09-14-2005, 02:49 PM
http://features.cgsociety.org/challenge/entries/10/7971/7971_1126709357_medium.jpg (http://features.cgsociety.org/challenge/entries/10/7971/7971_1126709357_large.jpg)

It's day, so I figured the sky should be brighter.
The squid has been moved a little further away from the shore as well.
I use to remove the sketch, if I got one, when coloring. I feel it goes faster this way and that I get a less edgy result.

09-14-2005, 03:11 PM
Valentina, I think you should move the camera a bit lower (lower horizon). That way you can have the pirates in the foreground and have the squid further away in the background. What I'm trying to say is that you'll have room for both in your composition. The squid is still too close to the shore right now. An idea is that you could put the camera in between the pirates and have it pointed to the squid over their shoulders (so to speak).

09-14-2005, 04:03 PM
Yeah what Marlon said, and it looks like the squid is in deep water but is actually real close to the shore meaning it would get deep immediatly and that isn't natural on a sandy beach I think.

09-14-2005, 04:06 PM
Thank you mateys. Fixing it now I think

09-14-2005, 04:10 PM
Valentina Rosalia D'Este now that is one cool name!

I like the concept of the octopuss destroying the ship. Good lick.

I think I'll make the island in the background smaller, now it looks too close and quite huge.

I cleaned up the squid a little, so now I got its shape in place. I might scale him down a little more.

09-15-2005, 12:25 PM
nice stuff there valentina i really like the idea! cheers!:applause:

I made the island far away smaller and more complete :)
The squid still needs to be moved and scaled, I think.

looks like a baby squid.... but I like it!!! good job!!!

09-15-2005, 05:34 PM
Oh... I was hoping you would go for the train... I thought it was really unexpected.

09-15-2005, 05:45 PM
Hi Lady Medusa! Great concept you have here, I think the addition of pirates is a lovely original twist and also adds more of a story element to it! Great chance to really go over board with the ship too!

Can I make one teensy point. I'm not sure what the story behind the squid attacking the boat is, but at the moment your colour scheme is a little bright and cheery, with the squid being yellow and the sunny day.. it kind of takes the seriousness of whats happening from the scene. Perhaps you might consider making it stormy? then you could go for spectacular wave forms too, and have to worry less about lighting all the harsh shaodws you get in full daylight?

It's just a thought, I kinda thought the moonlit scene was nice too, that way there'd be a reason they'd be moored up by the island, having a few drinks, and you can go all dark and scary with the squid too.

But keep going with it, you're already so far with it... *looks at her own thumbnails shamefully* :D

09-15-2005, 07:49 PM
cool concept.

looks like a baby squid.... but I like it!!! good job!!!
me too.cheers.

looks like a baby squid.... but I like it!!! good job!!!

yeah it looks like that to mee too! but its cute! i see u reversed your picture. to me it looks nice either way!cant wait for more! cheers!:)

09-16-2005, 09:31 AM
cool! I like Zepyhri idea about the colours. I'm looking forward to seeing more progress.

Keep it going!!

09-16-2005, 09:48 AM
hi Valentina (!!!),
nice update ! the concept with the squi and the pirates is very interesting.
agreed, with zephyris suggestion to trun the ligthning more dramatic.
keep it up

09-16-2005, 09:51 AM
Ducklator - Thats gigant baby squid to you :D. He'll get darker in color when I "texture" him.
Sonia - oh... erm... Some other people also liked the train better, maybe I'll make it after the challenge :)
Zephyri - I'll try it out, but first I whant to try it in niceer weather. Maybe I'll try night time or dawn aswell :)
Xric - Thank you
Calisto - ^^, acctually I just forgot to flip it back. I frequently flip my images when working on them.
Enialadam - Thank you
Comaone- Linda? I think youre a little confused. Happens to anyone. Anyway, Thank you :)

09-16-2005, 10:21 AM
perdon.....next time i´ll be more carefully. :blush::blush:
corrected my previous post.

09-16-2005, 12:04 PM
Looks like a cuttlefish to me (cuttlefish are great, they change colours like fireworks). Looking promising, keep it up.

09-16-2005, 12:23 PM
Hi Valentina!you have a good concept going on here, good luck with it!

as for crits, I don't know, maybe I would change the color of the squid from yellow to...greyish pink maybe? and the water looks too transparent and calmed, but maybe you were already thinking of taking care of that later...
anyway, good job, have fun!!!

There will be some wawes. Now it's just flat and unnatural. I think I'll add more clouds too

09-16-2005, 01:28 PM
Baron - Thank you. Checked out those little sea-creatures on google. Really cute, maybe I'll make it more similar to them :p
Feo - The squid, or clutterfish ;), will get a little more orange/red/purple acctually. If that doesn't work, I might try it.

09-16-2005, 09:31 PM
Nice change of concept. That's a cute little big baby monster:p . I think maybe you could push the squid (think it has enough arms for a squid?)/ cuttlefish back a bit farther. Awating your updates Lady Medusa.

09-17-2005, 01:29 PM

I made the monster so it looks a little less flat. I cleaned up the bout sketch a little and I've added some waves.

09-18-2005, 03:00 AM
aww, it looks like it's found a play toy :) i think it's a great concept this time, the bright colors work well really well for this. looking forward to seeing this developed, i think it woudl be spectacular to keep the image innocence while still having this boat and pirate wreck

09-18-2005, 09:58 AM
I like what you've done with the water :) The splashes look cool. Nice work, I like the translucent effect too.

I added in the people.
When I'm in doubt of what to put on them, I just put the skin color all over.

Right now the sand and the skin are very similar. I'll (try) make shure they don't blend too much.

09-21-2005, 04:56 PM
hehe dangling people :D

I frequently flip the image when working on one to check for errors.
Now I finally put in the sail :)

09-22-2005, 01:41 AM
Heh... looking good! It's somewhere between super-cute and ultimately devestating!

09-25-2005, 10:14 AM
hi valentina!

beautifull coloring, very lively, i like it a lot!
i'd just increase the canvas size to the left, show a bit more of the iland. Cause maybe it's too crowded at the moment.

09-25-2005, 05:45 PM
http://features.cgsociety.org/challenge/entries/10/7971/7971_1127670302_medium.jpg (http://features.cgsociety.org/challenge/entries/10/7971/7971_1127670302_large.jpg)

Dressed the pirates and enlarged the "canvas" a little, as suggested by Fabian Hernandez.
I also shaded the veil :)

09-28-2005, 05:30 PM
http://features.cgsociety.org/challenge/entries/10/7971/7971_1127928603_medium.jpg (http://features.cgsociety.org/challenge/entries/10/7971/7971_1127928603_large.jpg)

Cleaned up a little and refined the squid and the two dangling pirates a little.

I'm not sure whether I should flip it or not though :/
What do you people think?

10-03-2005, 08:48 PM
hey señorita, I'm glad to see your work always...:)
the painting goes great... but I think that the water looks 'cleaner' that the real color of the sea... I think that needs more green/blue coloring or more blur in the base of the squid.. keep it up lady, I'll wait for new updates...

suerte, tu eres mi favorita:D

10-04-2005, 08:51 AM
Ooooooh :buttrock:

I love this very fresh style... congratulations Lady Medusa... spectacular and so sensitive... good point for you. Very pleasant... best wishes for your challenge... I'm waiting impatiently the next steps  :bounce: :bounce: GOoooo

I added shadows on the tentacles. There will be on the water too, but that's after I push him out a little more.
I also refined the vulcano on the other island, adding more lights and darks there.
Then I refined some of the pirates.

10-04-2005, 07:33 PM
emmm.... ammm.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY Valentine!!!:bounce:

best wishes:thumbsup:

Hi friend!
I see your piece is improving much faster than mine! (I'm about to post another concept sketch). So far I like it. You have achieved nice rounded forms on the creature and the scene is quite funny (it reminds me of south park :) ). I also like the water.

Here's a few things:
I don't understand very well, is the scene moonlit ? if this is the case keep in mind that the scene would be poorly lit (but you have the sea as a big reflecting surface) and objects would appear mostly as silhouettes. Tone would be quite flat.
If the scene is under sunlight well, maybe you have to render the 'sun' a little more circular.
Anyway, it really depends on the look you want to achieve...
In case of sunlit scene you can use more colours for the water, a little variation in tone could help.
I find the splash of water interesting, but I feel there is something wrong...maybe it's a little much 'straight' ?

keep it up!

uh...and (sorry for being late) HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

10-07-2005, 01:14 PM
http://features.cgsociety.org/challenge/entries/10/7971/7971_1128690893_medium.jpg (http://features.cgsociety.org/challenge/entries/10/7971/7971_1128690893_large.jpg)

Pushed the squid a little further away and refined some of the pirates.

I started to play a little whit the colors.
The original (A) might be a little oversaturated. What do you guys and gals think?
A, B or C?

10-07-2005, 01:21 PM
Thank you Adriän :)

Enrico- It's supposed to be sunny, I'll try refine the sun.
I'll aso fix the under water parts :)

10-07-2005, 09:45 PM
I like A, it looks more cartoony and i like cartoons:P . If you do decide to change, I would go with C (but I still prefer A). Keep those updates coming.

10-08-2005, 12:41 AM
(A) is the best choice in my opinion and I don't think it's too overly saturated. It's much more richer than the others. I like how everything is working and I love the mood that's being created. But, if I may suggest one thing, just watch out for the tangency in-between clouds and middle ground elements. :)
I am looking forward to seeing the progress
Good luck.

Decided to go whit A.
The Island is pretty much finished now.
I made the undewater part a little more disorted.
I fixed the tentacles. Only one of them became thin at the end, and I wanted them all to.
I also gave it new splashes

10-08-2005, 06:28 PM
The water is looking really cool now!

I agree with dkconcept, though, things look a bit confusing near the mast like there's no distance between sun, clouds and sail. I think the problems is the cloud(s) - it should have the lighting reversed (a lot of shadow with bright outlines) since it's in front of the sun.

10-08-2005, 06:33 PM
wow! the last update looks very good

are you planning to add more masts to the ship? I think it needs some more sails...but it's obvious you haven't detailed the ship yet, so lets wait and see... :)

...and I thought it was the moon too... I'm not sure about showing the sun...because, well, you don't use to take pictures at the sun or look at it directly... maybe making it smaller and/or hiding it behind a cloud... I hope it helps

keep it up! :buttrock:

10-08-2005, 06:40 PM
I still think you should increase the canvas, this time to the right of course, and show some more of the island, add some negative space... :)
you're doing great!

10-08-2005, 07:19 PM
You've got style! I like this a lot. It kind of reminds me of surrealism.

Added a new sun, fixed the shine in the squid's eye and sketched the waves.

10-10-2005, 12:41 PM
Forgot to say I added shadows :)
It should be less confusing.

Sonia- I'm going to redo the clouds.
Elmasfeo- hehe, I'm still studying those acctually, but I have some more in mind :).
coCoKNIght- I'd rather scale down the pirates. Alltho' I'm only doing this for the exersise, I still whant to keep it somewhat in the size. And I'd just add more pirates. I'm not really that good dealing whit negative spaces http://espanol.geocities.com/doodlez34/emoticons/sigh.gif
gardogg- Thank you :)

10-10-2005, 01:01 PM
Really starting to see some great progress here! Wheee!:D

10-10-2005, 01:02 PM
Nothing to crit... always your fresh style... very pleasant

If I can say only one crit, it's maybe for the small cloud which seems to go in the opposite direction compared to the torsion of the volcano. Only that... just continue Rosalia :bounce:

10-17-2005, 02:47 PM

I took a little break from it, and just as I thought, I noticed many errors, particularly on the sitting pirate, so I decided to redo him.
Might give him the classical monkey instead of the cameleon too.
I'll also redo the sail, and maybe give it a nice flag, and definitely redo the clouds. They "pop" too much to be clouds.
I've also been working a little on the sea.

10-17-2005, 07:39 PM
your image is fresher now... I like a lot... and the sun is shiny... keep it up señorita... I'm watching you....:applause:

10-19-2005, 12:42 PM
Here's some clouds. Hope it helps:

The anatomy of the pirates in the foreground has been somewhat fixed.
Sketched in new clouds.
I've worked a little on the ship. A little reference used.
(Thanks to Theresa Ryan for clearing up a little detail about boats for me)

10-20-2005, 05:10 PM
Thank you Adriän and Sónia :)

My brother loves taking pictures of clouds so he got a pile of cloud photos I can use as reference, but the more the merrier :)

My brother loves taking pictures of clouds so he got a pile of cloud photos I can use as reference

I'm a lot like your brother in that aspect! :)
That pic is one of the many piled on my desk for reference! Got a box full of them. :D

Good work on the guy's shirt.

10-21-2005, 11:57 PM
I'm a lot like your brother in that aspect! :)Oh Sónia! I have no idea wether you remember me from the previous chalenge but you rock! I love your personality! Boa Senhorita!

Oh yea, keep going Valentina! Alltough I've told you this offline aswell, which is easy, living under the same roof and all. :)

10-25-2005, 02:08 PM
Lystmaler - Gee... You're doing it again...
Sure I remember. But I haven't seen you around in ages! :)

Btw, I've been meaning to ask you guys - how's it going with the Ustinja project? Is it on hold for a while or are you still secretly at it?

10-25-2005, 02:18 PM
Ustinja is on hold for now, but we have some plans for it :)

10-30-2005, 10:18 PM
Well, good luck with it, then. :)

10-30-2005, 11:47 PM
Nice update on the boat. I think the underside needs a bit mroe shadowing and highlight to increase the contrast better so you can tell its underneath the boat. I love the colors:bounce: . Keep the updates coming.

10-31-2005, 04:49 AM
Lastest update are very beautiful and also always very poetic... pleasure for our eyes of course... great

10-31-2005, 09:15 AM
Nice going Valentina.....
Very nice.... keep it up!

I funushed the new clouds and have the boat new sails.
I also added in some more shadows and darkness.

11-01-2005, 02:47 PM
you will need to add a lot of ropes and that kind of stuff to that ship... have you looked for references already?

Your last update looks very good, the details bring a lot to it... maybe you could add some much smaller and subtle clouds further, near the horizon line...
very good job valentina, keep it up!

11-07-2005, 10:20 PM
I really like your draw... nice colors... but I would like that the sky has another blue variation... more... blue? hahaha...:D

what do you think that the first pirate (the purple one) takes with himself a trunk of the treasure and discovers that him boat is under attack by the baby squid? Or another pirate with a knife in his mouth swimming with the intention to kill the squid?

just a couple of ideas... Good luck:thumbsup:

-Gave the drunk pirate a monkey
-Added on sails
-Changed the hanging pirate on the boat
-I've started texturing the boat (probably not that wisible. Might post some closeups). I'm going to give it windows and canon "doors"

Finally did the sea. Still need to fix a few things on it though.
I've added some ropes too.
I might add some smaller clouds near the horizon as suggested by Fernando García.

11-16-2005, 02:24 PM
The water looks great like that - like is really has depth.
And good work with the clouds!

11-16-2005, 06:02 PM
Looks nice, but the placement / angle of the sitting guy's feet are a bit out of perspective with the rest of the scene; it makes him look like he's raising his butt off the sand.

Best of luck.

11-17-2005, 06:29 AM
Always very nice and sweet update... always very resting vision for me... I like that... slowly but surely... then, just don't forget to finish before the deadline... time runs very fast... let's go Valentina :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

11-17-2005, 06:54 AM
nice work, valentina

11-17-2005, 08:52 AM
This is one of the best I have seen of your paintings. It is really creative and fun. You really have an liking for things with tentacles, don't you? Should we call you Miss Tentacalicious? Great job so far!

11-18-2005, 06:04 PM
Sonia and Squibbit- Thank you :)
Chris- D:, Youre right. I think I'll make him stand instead, otherwise I won't make it.
Lemog- Deadline?... We have a deadline? :p, I'll keep it in mind :)
Euphrosyne- XD!

Rope and windows added.
I tried to fix the siting pirate, but I might just take him out. I won't make it if I re-pose him.
Oh, and I've added some little clouds.

Hi Valentina,

Im stopping by to see your progress and from what I see it looks great. You have a very clean and polished technique. Its a very stylized image and although its not the type of work I do myself, I find that I am very drawn to it.

I have always admired artists who retain certain charactersitics in their work. Being able to recognize certain peculiarities in an artist's work is something I've always felt is one of the most important aspects of establishing your individuality as an artist. Its not something that is easy to do, and at times can take years to atain, but you definitely have it.

Im not really sure what the two black dots up on the right hand corner are, but my guess is they are there unintentionally. My only crit is the seperation in the horizon of the sky and ocean. I feel they sort of get lost into each other slightly. Things I do love, however, are how you handle highlights, specifically on the eye of the octopus and the water. The highlights on the water just below the octopus's head are executed perfectly. The way the octopus is smoothly renedered so smoothly and its color adds beautiful contrast to the your image.

Overall, you have an extremely memorable and lovely image and I wish you good luck. Great work - Joel

I finished the details on the boat.
Added shadows whit a blue tune, since the light is bright yellow.
I also fixed the red-haired pirate and gave all pirates eyes.

There was once an ancient rumor that said that a small treasure of great value was hidden in a cave on the isle of Durgal.
This drew many pirates to the isle, but never had they returned. This made the pirates sceptic to the idea of the treasure, but a certain crew decided to go with great bravery while some pirates guarded the ship.
After they had searched for the treasure for a long period consisting of 6 nights, and 4 days, the exploring crew decided to head back to their ship. To their big surprise, the ship had been attacked by a gigantic baby squid!
It only wanted to play with the ship, and could not understand that the pirates needed it. For him, it was just the biggest lodge that had ever passed close to the isle of Durgal.
