Thanks "the best" Good luck to you too
Now if I can just hurry up and finish my regular work for the day I can start thinking about something “Spectacular”…:)

Wow, people are up and running quickly on this…
Barely had a moment to think about ideas...but here are the two I’m currently favouring…
Idea 1 - Taking the greatest spectacular in the universe as “life” I thought about doing something involving birth and death, perhaps incorporating some suggestion of the circle of life…There’s a short story by Isaac Asimov about all the stars burning up and going out through time, as the final star goes out, the lights come on again…I think it’s called “The Last Question”…but I’ll have to look it up later. Anyway, incorporating that idea in with some characters might be interesting…
But so far I’m not coming up with any spectacular compositions for that one…
Idea 2 - Leonardo da Vinci taking flight in one of his inventions, climbing over the roof tops, filling the onlookers with awe and terror…
I think this is the one I might go for, I can see how it might all come together…I’ll try and get some rough sketches together tonight and see where they take me…
Good luck everyone

Well here are a couple of VERY rough scribbles (even by my messy standards). I’m going with the Da Vinci taking flight idea and am currently playing with the composition.
My first thought was to put the flying machine in the foreground, with the villagers chasing down below (paper on the right…)
But I’m now thinking it might be more interesting to be down at ground level enjoying the spectacle from the villagers point of view. I don’t particularly want the final image to be photo realistic and I’ve been looking at some of Da Vinci’s caricatures, some of which are very stylised…So focusing these stylised people as they watch this amazing sight might work well. (papers on left)
As you can see, a LONG way to go :)

Good choice, you know there's a competition in england for people that make their own flying macines, and there's a Davinci prize, took place last weekend of august, i know cause a friend of mine took place but is machine and him plundge directly in the water like a bird diving for a fish.
Good luck with your concept, it's a very cool idea and I'm gona keep an eye on you.

Aggh. I wish I'd thought about taking a picture of my sketches. Then I wouldn't have had my horrible tablet drawings.
Goodluck! The sketches looking interesting. I'll be keeping an eye out for what you come up with.

Love it... DaVinci... How can you possibly go wrong? I can't quite make out the sketches, but I'm 1/3 blind. looking forward to "seeing" more.

Hi ar LutiK
I think I’ve seen the competition you’re talking about, they all jump off the end of a pier if I remember correctly. Glad you’re keeping an eye on me…It’ll push me on to getting it done :)
I’ve been hunting around for an adapter to connect my tablet to this new pc, then I won’t have to take pictures lol
Plenty of ways I can go wrong with this, trust me ;) Hope to get some more for you to see over the weekend.
Have fun everyone
