View Full Version : Need Environments to light!!!

11-05-2002, 11:45 PM
I am just getting into 3D and I want to specialize in lighting. I am having trouble finding decent environments to light! I'm using Maya 4 and Lightwave 6. Can anyone give me some suggestions as to where I might find some detailed environments?? (ie. Rooms, Cityscapes, buildings, ANYTHING with some detail) Thanks

im serious dude you have two of the best 3d software packages around, you can specialize in lighting, but learn to model, and then you can light the awesome models you make. Its good to know how to light well, but its better to know how to light well, and model well too.

I would love to make my own models! Unfortunately I only have 2 and a half weeks to get this project done and it is a lighting only project. Thanks for the URLS and advice though I appreiciate it.
