anxious to see what you'll come up with this time

09 September 2005, 06:07 PM (

The phrenetic masses cry for blood while the barbarian princess has overtrown romes greatest Fighteress in the circus maximus. the emperor raises slowly his hand that will deciede over the faith of the defeated champion.
Morituri te salutant

09 September 2005, 06:09 PM
weeeee after solving my systemproblems i am back and finally found some time to trow some thumbnails. well wlecome to the arena, the fun begins :D best of luck to everyone and thanks for all the encouragements! finally the fun begins!

09 September 2005, 06:16 PM (

in times some of the bravest were figthing each other for honor, and Blood drenched the sands of the arena and the shattered bones and broken lances were the singing the symphony of destruction. Sunset, where the last men standing ride towards the final gathering.

09 September 2005, 06:19 PM
actually decieding on the exploring of 1 of those 2... anyone help me decide pls... rome or knights???:bounce:

09 September 2005, 07:44 PM (

colortest... :)

09 September 2005, 07:53 PM
Woohoo you're back, finally! :buttrock:

Looking good Sacha, I like your concepts, tho I prefer the rome concept.
Keep em coming mate! I'll be back!

09 September 2005, 08:00 PM
weeee, yep, oh dear yeah Rudy, thx! U don't know how i felt when my shitty system went bye bye. Finally started a little slaughter :p good to be back :D

09 September 2005, 08:07 PM
Its about time! The knight concept is more dynamic, but I really like the Rome concept (and not just for the girls:p ).

09 September 2005, 08:24 PM
Finally! Good to see ya posting again.

09 September 2005, 08:33 PM
Great Man!!! Good look!!

Great usual!!

09 September 2005, 08:45 PM
Welcome back sacha, glad to see you back in action, good lookin stuff, I like to see luis royo style work stuff, good luck to ya sacha, will be keepin' up with ya, holla!

09 September 2005, 08:50 PM

09 September 2005, 02:01 AM
welcome back sacha~u've been away for awhile~sorry to hear about ur computer though,u've got a 1st nice sketch going already!looking forward for more my friend:thumbsup:

09 September 2005, 04:39 AM
hey cool progress so far on the concept 1stangel! the rome one seems to be a more dynamic image, more things going on, but the night concept is also very good and possibly even more 'framable'. i'll keep watching your progress on these,! :)

09 September 2005, 06:38 AM
Finally, you showed up!!! hehe, i'm glad the computer prob has been fixed. Awesome and glad you are back again for more crazy fun bro :bounce:
Good start so far. I really love the one where they're riding the horse and about to hit each other or something. Love the angle and the dynamic action of it. I guess the kitties are back :D

I'll be back to see more. My wrist has been hurting lately so i need to take it easy for a bit.
Once it's good, i'm back for more spamming

cheers crazy bro!!! show what pixelpushers can do.

09 September 2005, 08:25 AM
Hey m'dear! You finally got some concepts down! I love them both, the roman one is very you, I'd know your style anywhere. But, on first impressions, the knights one grabs me more for it's sense of speed and drama. I'd go with that one, but as my own experience has shown, it's not always the one that's best that you end up going with. But if you played about with the actual instant in the knight one (I'd love to see the moment they actually hit one another, splintering pole, rearing horse etc etc). But anyway you go from here, it'll be great. :applause:

09 September 2005, 08:42 AM
oh seem I arrived late.Though I did not post an update, I was thinking and sketching about the very same concept (The gladiators one) since a few days...
It's hard to be original here...just when you think you got THE idea...
well, good luck anyway, I like your style!

09 September 2005, 02:25 PM
Hey, good to see your work again, Angel. Looking good... especially the Roman one. While the knight image has a lot more motion and excitement to it, the Roman one feels more like a "spectacle" to me because of the audience and the Emperor in the stands. Also, it gives you a chance to draw women, which you tend to do very well. So play to your strengths! :-)
Anyhow, either way, good luck!

09 September 2005, 04:06 PM
thems some fine concepts mate... like were your going with this..

09 September 2005, 04:37 PM
Ace: lol, i know, but talking to squib convinced me its not fun to paint 2 month on a horsea.. uhm. i guess my roman concept is quiet fun and long researches resulted there were women fights at the colosseum. that must have been sorta... yep the s word ;)

pushav: yeah mate, finally m system worx again :)

Lotah: thanks mate!

Beelow: Hahaha, hope its finally an Angel piece and not a Ryo piece but thx anyways and best of luck 2 u 2 :D

Borro; Heheh, 2 lunchbreakconcepts ahead, may your wishes fulfill.

Sh@ke: thanks mate, yeah quiet happy my system works again

Junpei: thats a good point, appart from that rome has 2 other things. first, it offers a dramatic moment when the emperor deciedes over the life of the defeated roman girl, second, if spectacular, wich in my oppinion shall be defined trough the emotional power an event has on the masses, rome was defiantely the place to be. From all game that followed trough time, rome found the essence of what appeales the human masses: bread n games.
Knights were just a repeat of history when i thought about it again and no matter how bloody i'll paint that scene, it wont be half as fun as the one coloseum.

Archie: Weeeeeeeee thanks my crazy Bro! hahaha yeah catfight finally was more fun to me, i gotta admit ..uhm... that was predictable somehow was it  . how you get well soon, hehe, cant wait to see ya get in action and I'll be round to spam a bit as well. keep it up bro!

Zephyri: Hiya Hun! yeah my sweet, finally made it and it was pain, i can tell. hehe, yeah the roman finally made it just started in my lunchbreak with 2 studies sheets and will post em in a few mins. the knioghts got a nice movement but... uhm. i would be aggraid i'd loose the fun in the following weeks too fast. Glad to have u round m'dear, let it rock!

Xillion: oh dear, sorry to hear. yeah its very very hard this time with the topic and i filled heaps of notes n sketches as well. Yeah i feel with you, cuz i know how hard it is to find a nice concept for this. best of luck to you too and thanks anyways :)

Walrus: hey Mike! 100% agree and heheh, may the games beginn. i admit, yeah, its more fun to paint 2 wildcats than 2 knights in armors, and the fun might last longer  hehe, best of luck to you too, and i'm glad u like my way to paint em girls. c ya round soon mate!

Wil: thanks mate!

and now, back in a min with 2 little detailsketches :)

09 September 2005, 04:43 PM (

lunchbreaksketches part 1 :face studies to get the feeling for the piece a bit... entering the arena :)

09 September 2005, 04:48 PM (

Lunchbreaksketches part2:
Facial Studies for the Fighters
the best of rome vs. the celtic princess, tonight at the Coloseum.
... just a lil doodle :)

09 September 2005, 07:43 PM
I put my money on the one on the right.

09 September 2005, 09:00 PM
AH, those are definitely Angel peices:rolleyes: ,LOL! good sketches man!:D

09 September 2005, 09:51 PM
Oooh, it's great to see those 1stAngel faces looking out at me! I think I'd end up going for the girlies as well! However the sense of action in the charging knights is superb... is there any way of combining the two? It doesn't have to be historically accurate I 'spose.

Morituri te salutant

09 September 2005, 12:26 AM
Great idea, nice doodles too:)

09 September 2005, 01:39 AM
hehe, its a trademark,ur style of drawing girls remains, they have those features that none other can do~nice one sacha, the one on the left seems more powerful~:scream:

09 September 2005, 07:37 AM
Oh, the one on the left has a too small head ;)
BTW don't you think thet even though they have those princesslike names, they should look more manly? I mean theyre gladiators - it's the matter of life or death out there. I think that in that case they would care more about their muscles than about their looks (as women). I guess you might have been inspired by the Pepsi ad, but in real life the girls would be more musculine ;)

09 September 2005, 08:00 AM
As always, pretty cool looking so far! Lovely sketches on those women.
Like the angle too, looking up in the arena.

09 September 2005, 11:04 AM
hey man, awesome like always you get your self into the image and thats great... i gotta do things like this too. i gotta make few images about ads alone to put them on the image later...
keep like this .. you are great.

09 September 2005, 12:02 PM
hey sacha,,good designs,,,,Posters this time too, hah??that vote goes for the Cheaks at coluseom....always good to see your type of cheaks around:drool:

09 September 2005, 11:25 PM
Sacha: You keep putting out an amazing amount of work! Good for you. So are we betting to see who wins? Hmm, I guess I'll go with the woman on the left. She's just got that... glint in her eyes! Reminds me of me when I'm mad (except without the freckles). PS if they are wearing fur that's cool. Maybe have some dirt on the skin... dried blood (does that sound gross? Probably... but you know what I mean!) snarls... you'll do it I'm sure. always fun to watch your progress

09 September 2005, 12:00 AM
great! exelent idea... good luck!

09 September 2005, 01:28 PM
excellent sketch as usual.interesting characters.
will wait to see more.cheers.:bounce:

09 September 2005, 08:50 PM
When the romans captured her in wild and rough britania, the centurion was pleased by her fightskills. To please the people of rome, they decieded to bring her to rome, into the garden of doom, the great arena, to fight for her destiny. In the deepth of the monster, the coloseum, she prayed to her loving godess danu, mother of all being on earth in those last minutes before facing her last moments, to give her strenght and faith in this impossible fight, just to feel the sweet green shires of britania once again under her feet, to stand this final test...

lol, or just: ... dressed to kill, conceptsketch for the celtic fighteress.

09 September 2005, 09:20 PM
Pushav: hahaha lol, bet gladly accepted ;)

Beelow: thanx mate!

Aly: hehe, uhm, whhy i knew ;) we should make a pinupcalender someday together. I'll maybe ad some horseaction, who knows... :)

Polybuilder: thanx a lot mate

Sh@ke: lol!

katea: hi there :) in my expirience, female fighters don't even have to be muscular to be dangerous n deadly, since nature gave them quick and elegant motorics. So i'll work basically with leatherarmors, light and shortblades, so quick and deadly moves quiet much should weight up the masses of male fighters. (what serve you muscles if you are too slow to hit ;))
thanks a lot for the cool inputs. hehe I'll try to make believable fithers as good as i can :)

Michael Motion: thanks a lot, glad u like the basic sketch. am working on 2 alternate poses atm. hope you'll like em

Genesisa: Thanks Jesus, all that in return, keep it up my friend!

Kmest: hahaha yeah, always posters, cuz its fun. uhm, My gurls are happy to hear you like em.

Birdybear: yep, the'll both get sum fancy designed clothes, set dressed by Gianniversacus and Pradaicus ;) hehe fur is on the plan already :) hehe, great points and may flow all into the final piece. and all in return, your style always is great to get lost in it!

Ducklator: thx mate

Xric: heheh, thx mate, here's the 1st glance of an armordesign for the celtic girl.

09 September 2005, 09:21 PM
beautiful pic dude

09 September 2005, 09:43 PM
She's great! and she's a Celt...! Hmm... inspired here I feel... ;) What by I wonder... ho hum!

09 September 2005, 11:00 PM
Hey hun! Loving all this so far, and glad to see we're going to get a bonafide 1st angel catfight! the character looks amazing, already brimming with her own personality, cant wait to see the roman. Like aly said, very inspiring! Keep up the great work, i'm behind you 100%!

09 September 2005, 11:05 PM
Squib: thank you so much mate!

Aly: :) weee lord of em cuties likes my celtic tigress! weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

My lovely Zephyri: THank you so much my dear! :) you make me float again in ... celtic roman clouds this time. Well you are my inspiration, always, and I'm 100% behind you too! kick em butts hun!

09 September 2005, 11:05 PM

Sacha, your character designs are AMAZING... as usual. I love the way you capture a woman's sensuality and strength at the same time. Gorgeous! I'm so looking forward to seeing more!

Please keep inspiring us fanboys! :D

Cheers, luv!

09 September 2005, 12:28 PM
Very hot, Sacha! Obviously more of a character/concept sketch than part of the finished work, but you should at some point develop this into a finished painting all by itself! (Too bad the deadline for Exotique is so near... or is it past now, i forget?)

09 September 2005, 02:11 PM
dham see is fine. kick ass! as always your sketch's rule

09 September 2005, 02:23 PM

i really like the style of your work...

good luck!

09 September 2005, 03:17 PM
once again great expression. are you going to go for a warmer color palette for the finished piece? I am imagining really intense reds and oranges, like fire to compliment the moods... whaddya think?

09 September 2005, 03:30 PM
"The phrenetic masses cry for blood while the barbarian princess has overtrown romes greatest Fighteress in the circus maximus..."

Uaaauuu!! Big!

Perhaps could appear in the scene a lion! :bounce:

Good Luck!

katea: hi there :) in my expirience, female fighters don't even have to be muscular to be dangerous n deadly, since nature gave them quick and elegant motorics.

If you say so (especially if you base it on your own experience) I believe you :D
Still watching you :)

09 September 2005, 09:57 PM
the1st_angel[/b]]hi there :) in my expirience, female fighters don't even have to be muscular to be dangerous n deadly,

Bad experience with an ex huh? :D

09 September 2005, 04:43 AM
So what are you up to now...hmmm...??? She is looking hot by the way :argh:
Kitty's with sword always works for me. Now i just have to wait what's the final composition. I'm still in favor of the two horse charging each other
Be back again for more spamming, MUAHAHAHAHA

09 September 2005, 06:25 AM

09 September 2005, 01:08 AM
Born in freedom, as a patrician daughter of a general, she followed her fathers wish who desperately wanted a son. from her very young age she showed exceptional high fightingskills and in the tender age of 16 finally found her way into romes hardest school for gladiators.
Blades of fury singing the symphony of death, she was known as the Loiness, the undefeated champion of rome's cruel spectacle, in the name of strength and honor...

Another armor concept, hehe, might add more details...

Love though, keep turning out the magic hun!

09 September 2005, 02:09 AM
yeah~dig this angle,simultaneously dynamic and dramatic!awaiting for more~:thumbsup::thumbsup:

09 September 2005, 02:43 AM
Yeah, finally, WOOHOO. The angle definately looks dynamic and i can picture where the characters is or are going to be. Those crowds of people will definately add on to the feeling of spectacular-nessss :D It needs a foreground element though...unless, the characters are part of the foreground. Well, i'll wait and see what you're cooking up next.
AWESOME BRO and keep it coming...more...more

cheers

09 September 2005, 05:14 AM
damm finally, I thougth I'll never see that, very good shot,
I think I see what you trying to do, the only thing I would pull back so it's not so framed, I mean little loose on the sides but you'll need a bit more room for that cause you whant the focus on her and the gate behind her, well at least that's what I'm thinking, the angle is perfect, great work Angel, cheers
:applause:

09 September 2005, 09:58 AM
man this sketch is really impressive, i like the concept of all of it, very cool mate..

09 September 2005, 11:30 AM
Love the angles and perspective. I'm really looking forward to see the coloring :)

Amazing job!

09 September 2005, 12:54 PM
the arena sketch is nice. I'd put the rest of the stadium into dark shadow and direct light hitting to that.. balcony thing. Might be cool contrast that way, and a real eyecatcher!

09 September 2005, 02:17 PM
hi my bro.....l like your sketch and consept......good luck.........

09 September 2005, 03:41 PM
WOW looking good! Nice work, I love the angle and perspective, I'm looking forward to seeing this develope :D

09 September 2005, 03:47 PM
excellent, carry on

09 September 2005, 04:05 PM
Hey Sascha,
yep! That´s a cool perspective. I allready can see the emperor holding the thumb down for final kill. :D

Maybe I would consider to show the defeated enemy lying on the ground somewhere. (somebody/thing strange or evil maybe)? And don´t forget the blood.

[Das wird richtig gut! Wenn die Farben wie in "Gladiator", "Ben Hur" oder "Indiana Jones" aussehen, kann einfach nichts mehr schief gehen.]

09 September 2005, 04:15 PM
Great sketches. I cant wait to see how this turns out. I love your character designs.

09 September 2005, 09:41 PM
Nice Perspective Sacha.

I'd recommend however to keep the focus on the Lioness Gladiator and just gesture that the arena is in the background.

You're work thus far looks great!!! I am so inspired by so many good illustrations.

--Take Care

09 September 2005, 10:05 PM
I think your piece is going to be emotionally charged.

It's tough to handle that such preety girls are fighting in the ring as it is :D
Imagine a thumbs down on top of that?
I wouldn't handle it :D

Not even a Roman emperor would do that?
Sheesh you're wasting all the beef throwing it at the lions like that :D

09 September 2005, 10:18 PM
Hey guys,

You know that historically speaking, the thumbs down from the emperor meant let the gladiator live, was synonomous to put your sword down.

The thumbs up meant kill the gladiator, was synonomous to go for the jugular. The crowd evidently would be chanting with their thumbs pointed up, screaming at the top of their lungs, "JUGULARIS"

Of course the way it is percieved now is the machinations of Hollywood......why confuse the viewers.

09 September 2005, 05:58 AM
hi my friend, great to see you in action again, the consept is great and hope to se some more sone. see you and have a great weekend, and ofcourse

09 September 2005, 10:32 AM
keep roking my friend!!

09 September 2005, 10:36 AM
so i see what you're going with your girl now. keep goin', i think that's goigng to be a very good picture! update updat update!! pleaaase.:)

10 October 2005, 09:27 AM
Nice idea, definitely fits the "Spectacular" theme. I love the character design for the girl - the helmet is great! I love the colours you're using on the armour -the desturated, shimmery golds looks great with the navy. She reminds me of someone, but I can't think who. Can't wait to see her added into the scene ^_^

10 October 2005, 10:45 AM
very good sketch with a big potential, good work

10 October 2005, 12:40 PM
Hey Sacha nice Sketch, with a beautyfull perspective. Hope you will bring us soon a nice update. I Like your drawing technic you have a god hand with nice movings.

Und sowieso mis änglisch isch halt vorallem schriftlich nöd unbedingt bestens. mer chan halt kei händ und füess benutze. Uf jede Fall chunnts mega, bin scho rächt gspannt ufs resultat. Hoffe du wählsch die Variante mit beidne Gsichhter im Shot isch glaub idrücklicher als di ander Variante.

Also bis Bald emal, sött ja scho lang emal wieder verbiluege.

all the Best Dude an keep the House rocking :buttrock:

CYA Tatsumasu :buttrock: :bounce:

10 October 2005, 05:58 PM
Ohhhh very 'Gladiator' like! I love it so far!!:)

10 October 2005, 10:38 PM (

composition test... just another doodle, searching for the right feel. less dramatic but more movement the moment the 2 oponents face each other. just a test. lol, still searching...

10 October 2005, 11:21 PM
Spin: hahahaha lol, yeah mate not the first time that happens. hope ya not disapointed i'm a guy paintin gurls. ;) It's tough to handle that such preety girls are fighting in the ring as it is
Imagine a thumbs down on top of that? aaaaahrgh! *hahahha, maximus the mercyfull* erm. yeah thats exactly the sort of scene i have in my mind, tried here an alternaete scene with more movement, just for the manner of spectacularity. trying the more intimate solution as well i'm actually working on 2 possible poses... so stay tuned mate!

thanks a lot anyways :D

Shake: small update. whatcha think about the scene?

Archie: hahah yeah course mate. i tested 3 possible solutions i am still playing with the other ones, 2 poses, girls fighting on the foreground and 1 of em defeated asking for the crowds mercy. this one was tonights sketchings result, just an attemp of bringing the knioghts dynamics and the gladiator scene together. sort of the "smashing meeting" ;) still sketching, just a test :)

Korline: Hiya Mate! glad u liked the background. goin to play a bit more and about giving the scene a bit more room: 100% right. going to try finding a solution for that as well. great points and I'll keep working on that. thanks a lot!

Supersnake: thanks mate! Happy ya like it!

Aleks: Thanks a lot! cant wait to trow em colors too, still trying to find a base for a nice painting... once i found the concept to o for ... oh dear. lol. still searching

Ranath: thanks mate. i tried a bit a darker all over, propably will work in the blueish ambience (gi) with some vivid late afternoonsunlight (soft shadows, warm mainlight), since this is the final game, that lightsetup offers... thanks for the nice inputs.glad u like the draftsketching :)

Koray: Hey bor! thanks a lot! Best of luck to you too!

Madalaine: thanks a lot! keep it up too! Unleash the powers of that one box :D

Lord Squib: lol, thanks mate, I'll try. nice new face of urs, so thats how you look like without makeup? :p

Farija: Hahaha thanks mate! bout a defeated gurl, yep its on the plan, but i still trouble with hurting the gurls. and, yeah, hahah the actual shot offers a nice bloodtrial and some teeth up in the air, hope i'll get that monumental feel right. Moscito ergo brumm... :p uhm. oder so

Zanne: thanks mate!

10 October 2005, 11:22 PM
dvdx:Thanks a lot. wow. good point. thats how i done it in Snakedancer, letting certain parts loose to let the eye make the rest. trying to find a nice compo and my pen already cries for another poster thing. atm: testing. the colloseums contrasts will be fading towards the horizon anyways, haze n stuff. i feel honored my sketches inspire you. unfortunately i don't have as much time for the challenge as i wish i had. anyways i hope i can make it to make a good work :) thanks a lot and take care too.
The thumbs up meant kill the gladiator, was synonomous to go for the jugular. The crowd evidently would be chanting with their thumbs pointed up, screaming at the top of their lungs, "JUGULARIS"

Of course the way it is percieved now is the machinations of Hollywood......why confuse the viewers. great info, thanks a lot. to keep the moments trill i'll try to keep the thumb horizontal, so that should give the emotional power i hope to achieve. hahaha bout hollywood. yeah there's no busuiness like showbiz right? its a comon thing humans help stories in illustrating them a bit more spectacular, having almost caught suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch a fish ;)

Alex H.: hope ya had a nice weekend too mate. I'll be in UK in dec/jan somewhen, planing to go celebrate with u and the UK fellas. hehe. had a busy weekend, and uhm no time to do silly things :( lol. so here we go again, see ya soon my friend!

Alex F: Thanks! you too ol friend!

THanks for your great inputs, your help and encouragements. you all rock, best of luck and keep it up!

10 October 2005, 02:34 AM
yeah i think the scene looks pretty chaotic,i like the gal that do the flip,u've got the movement there~it think it would look even more dynamic if she's flipping closer to the camera,a tighter shot of her perhaps?:scream:

10 October 2005, 02:47 PM (

... just a lil sketch cleanup and sum colors :)

10 October 2005, 02:48 PM

Utter genius concept, Sacha (you can tell I've been gone too long from your thread  ). Your character designs are grand as always (lovely-looking "gladiatess" you have there :D ) and your scene composition/perspective is second to none.

Keep it up. :)

10 October 2005, 07:39 PM
Hehe, thanks for sparing me the time to hunt for your thread :D
Definately love the action bro! it adds a lot of energy and the feeling of entertainment. I do agree with SH@KES though about maybe moving the kitty who's doing the back hand spring a little more towards the camera. That will make it more dynamic and insanely WICKED. Almost like pushing the audience back to move out of it, hehehe.
Keep it up crazy bro   This is another movie making feel to it and hurry up with the colours

10 October 2005, 12:30 AM

10 October 2005, 05:29 AM
can't see from the sketch if it is that way, but how about putting of those
chariots with them scythe blades in the wheels in the pic, with a warrior
just having jumped over one such blade , narrowly saving herself.. ?

10 October 2005, 05:54 AM
Hi! Very good angle! I like it! And only one. It seems to me that you should turn the sculpture is on the nearest column back to viewers. And I think that the sky must be more tranquil, that will create contrast with the horror making on the arena! Excuse me for my English!! Good luck!

10 October 2005, 06:01 AM
I dig yur style!:buttrock: ..the latest ones the angle youve captured..Keep it up!

10 October 2005, 09:07 PM
Nice action, good dusty colour palette too. Personally I'd go for a more dramatic angle, slightly exaggerated perspective, with the woman falling right into the "camera", and viewpoint more vertical than it is at present. Look forward to seeing more.

10 October 2005, 10:27 PM
Hey, Sacha, I've been out of it for a little while so I hadn't seen your newest layout. That just rocks! Great action in it! I liked the earlier one, but you've really topped yourself.... Can't wait to see you flech out this one (and with you, flesh out is most definitely the appropriate expression! ;-)

10 October 2005, 10:42 PM
Wow, man!
That's impressive!

In the words of Mortal Combat:

Hmmm... I just realized that arena is just the kind of place for my avatar!

I like the angled perspective on this concept.

10 October 2005, 10:21 AM
Hi Sacha! Your composition looks really decent! Nice flow/rhythm and even many things are pointing to the top left corner the focus still keeps in the place of action. Nothing constructive to give you... Just enjoying the show... ;)

Keep it up, mate!

10 October 2005, 11:39 AM
Good luck with your proposal. Good and well-balanced composition.

10 October 2005, 12:43 PM

10 October 2005, 03:47 PM
Thisw wont have to do anything with the painting i'll go for except i needed a bit distance. Propably will be part of the comic (if i'd do one) of the story here. I already noticed a strong simularitiy to Linda's "Spoiled" so i wont use this angle anyways, but i just painted straigth ahead without refs, and sorta liked it, so i thought i'd post it just for erm... fun :p
now back to some other sketches...

10 October 2005, 04:01 PM
You scared me. I thought you were changing your concept AGAIN! Very nice sketch and I'm looking forward to more progress on your fight scene!

10 October 2005, 04:18 PM

Archie: HAhahaah king of spam, so i eased your hunt? lol. glad youlike my 1st attemp, i'm still unhappy with the angle, but i had to take a bit of distance to get clearance, i painted and failed countless times on repainting or finding a better angle. trying to find something wicked... ahrgh:argh: i still hurry! weee! thanks for encouragements bro!

Supersnake: thanks a lot mate! welll, wish i was more constant or whatever, i had 2 days of getting nowhere and so i just tried to do something completely different. thanks for jumpin in mate!

Cyberarts: Hi Aline! Thanks a lot for encouragements! Goin to check your great dragonslayer next, looking forward to your progress too :)

Korline: Hehe, yeah sometimes web can be pain. try hold ctrl while clicking refresh, maybe that helps next time :)

Lemog: thanks Laurent! Glad you like the direction :)

Lord Squib: Scythe blades were on the sketch but forgot highlight them. great point and on the next sketch i'll show em :) thanks a lot mate!

Artis: You're right, the sky royally sucked on my last sketch, was supposed to make a decent sky while i just hurried too much and ended up in a mess. Thanks a lot for observation, thankfully taking your points on my list for my next update!

10 October 2005, 04:19 PM
Donsam: Thanks! glad you like it :)

Arlutik: Hey Gerard, ol friend, hehe, glad you like it! lol, yeah my colors way too often jump out of the same basecolorsets... cant get away from that

Gpepper: Weeee, thanks. Well it was just a try, and i didn't like it enough to go for it, but at least i found 1 possible direction. still a bit time to find something i feel happy with... uhm... so much work :argh:

Aosabaku: Thanks a lot!

Xric: Hey Thitipon! lol, wait I'll spam rtight back :p lol, thanks for the visit!

10 October 2005, 04:25 AM
WOW, those two definately looks HOT
Hey, it's good to take a break and it helps a lot to clear your mind, you know :)
Well, i think you have something going with that angle (with your gladiator piece). Maybe try and add another half to get that nice colossal feeling. I know it's a bit typical of a gladiator movies, but it works. The way you set up the action should make a big difference. Anyway, i'll try me best to help out and give you support crazy bro!!! I've been a bit busy as you can see. Keep it up and burn those pixels, WOOHOO.

sorry, i had to edit. I misunderstood what KORLINE was saying, hehehe. be back for more spamming :argh:

10 October 2005, 08:02 AM
Jujuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu, hey Sasha, this is great, good luck in the challenge.

10 October 2005, 10:43 AM
go angel~gooo~!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

10 October 2005, 03:49 PM
hmm.. Im sort of more for that arena battle than something peacfuly. It can be really pretty, but still images can be very risky doing something spectacular, even if the story behind it has a spectacular moment.. the viewer dont get it so easyly. Or maybe changing the camera angle would help.. donno :/ it just doesnt impress me that much as the previous entries. only my opinion :)
