View Full Version : Problem with EPSF Loader.
11 November 2002, 03:53 PM
Ok I just got Lightwave at work and I want to load an eps (paths from illustrator) but I keep getting this error message in modeler. "Cannot load external plug-in file <Macintosh HD:Applications:Lightwave 3D 7.5:Plugins:Input-Output:ESPF.p>" I know it's probably an easy fix that's probably in the manual. The problem is that I'm on a PC at home and a Mac at work and the manuals are at home. Any help would be appreciated. Oh one other question how do I import a jpeg image as a reference to model from? Would I have to create a polygon and map it or is there another function that allows me to do it? Thanks in advance.

Seems like LW can't find the plugins.
Try adding plugins by pressing Alt-F11 and then do a Directory Scan (scan the directory with your plugins, usually resides within the Lightwave dir itself.)
(if all else fails, try deleting your preferences and then do a directory scan.)

I've gotten this with the EPS plugin before. I can't tell you why it happens, but go back and add the plugin again. You should be able to find it in your Plugins/Model folder. Once you've manually added it, try running the import again and it should work.
Also, you should make sure that your Illustrator file is in version 8 or less.
Hope this helps!

I heard that EPS Loader don't work on OS-X version ...
