View Full Version : First WIP Post....

I've finally decided to post some pics of something i'm currently working on. This ship is a completely Original design of mine that I finally got around to modeling. I model in LightWave 7, been working on learning it for the past month. Before that I was a True Space user and even before True Space I modeled in Bryce 3. (EVIL PROGRAMS!) So i've been doing this for a while. The mesh is pretty simple, having built upon the central hull and stuff I know that I could do alot more, but for just learning to do different things at a slow 'As I get to it" pace, I think it works out pretty well....All comments and critiques are welcome. The pics show a Forward and Rear angle shot, and then one showing off the plating i'm working on for her.

Quick Note: To view the images copy and paste them in your browser, unfortunately all I have at the moment is GeoCities...and we all know how friendly GeoCities is.

Your model has a sense of volume and consistency which shows your design is working. I'm not sure what your design is, so I'm I don't know where you are going with this. Bevel your sharp edges and smooth out those rounded sections more. Look at lots of references and keep adding detail. Keep sketching concepts so you get an idea of where you are going and you don't get lost in dead end modeling.
