Using a different technic I saw in a tutorial somewhere on here..
Need to do some more work on his eyes..
Might do more with the background other than plain black..
This was not an original idea..wish it was..:)
This was mostly done for practice to try out this new technic..
The character is of a great sculpture done by Thomas Foldberg of whom I am a big fan of..
Done in PSCS2 and Painter 9

I know you said it wasn't originally your idea, but you've really done well here.
Love the eyes and the teeth *shivers again and goes back to hiding*

Thanks Morrigana.. The tutorial I mentioned is by Henning Ludvigsen..located here http://www.henningludvigsen.com/tutorial_workflow.html

At first I couldn't tell his teeth were teeth... thta's probably the only thing.
Really good result. Nice expression on him too.
edit: might be cool to link the scuplpture too. For comparison. www.imageshack.us usually does the trick except in some cases people can't see them... then www.photobucket.com should do it. Both free I believe.

Still looking great
But i noticed that you glazed over the eyes some more in this one. Although that is properly more zombie-like the first image was scarier because you actually got the impression from the eyes that this monster was pretty intelligent - that is lost a bit in the milky-white eyes IMO.

Cool image, you've managed to give it a great sense of 3D form. Maybe it's just the white shirt and implied black suit, but he reminds me strongly of The Gentlemen from the Buffy episode Hush.

I don't know i kinda like the hazy eyes...either way...FRIGGEN SWEET!
shirt's a really nice touch

Overchord, although the eyes have become more milky, I think the collar and tie make up for the lost intelligence! :D
On a more sincere note, I like the glossier look, it adds a bit more character to the painting.
Awesome so far, the only critique I had was along the lines of jmBoekestein's regarding the teeth. They could possibly use a bit more distinction in color from the rest of the face.
Great Zombie thus far, keep at it!

my only comment is that the lower face and jaw seem a little flat... maybe try darkening them a touch.
he's sexy <3
i really like the skin. it looks like if i poked it, i'd go "eww" and slink away.
awesome job. and i love his smile

wow that is creepy! I love the wrinkles on his face and the skin tones, very evil like. Great expression nice work!! There's so much great art around right now, so many pieces I can't wait to see finished. Keep it going! :D

definitely interesting tutorial
and i love how this is coming out. the collar realy makes him seem more than just some brain-eating creep. he is going to be very nice when you finish

I think I'm finished..

Use of color definitely makes it stand out from the "zombie stereotypes."
...you know who he reminds me of, he looks like a grotesque version of that farmer dude from Wood's American Gothic, if you just added the pitchfork... na, maybe it's just me.
the background feels like it's taking something away from the picture. maybe if you darkened it or something...
the rest of it is awesome, though

Cool piece  But I'd like to see an angry zombie more :P
