View Full Version : Help with xp and lightwave

I was just wondering if lightwave works with windows xp. And if there is a post about it how to set it up. Thanks.
Works fine for me. I just installed it like on any other OS (had it on Win 98 SE and Win 2K before).
Be sure to get rid of any foreign language packs first. It seems that they mess Lightwave up.
I have no problems either. I just got Lightwave today! I need tutes for beginners big time. Know of any good ones to get me rolling?

I can also add that the inside LW 7 book by Dan Ablan is very good if you're serious about getting the knack of LW

I asked tech support that question, he told me there were a few compatability issues that needed to be resolved (didn't go into detail) but I haven't come across any problems on my XP home edition machine.

I use Lw7 on xp home and it works great, even better than with win2k. I also installed the update 7b and it also this worked well. Don't worry about it. Maybe you are afraid, that the difference between 2k and xp are like win95 and win 2000, but the difference is not like this. win xp has many improvements, but hey enhace many things and do not cause problems for the software, so far I experienced.
