Hey Jake, you've done a great film, and your animations are very impressive. It was really great to work with you for the past year, I wish you all the best with finding a job.

Not bad at all. Everything I have seen from the VFS is very good. Is it hard to get accepted there?

Wow, I like it, I like it, I like it. Nice clean, appealing animation.
I was lost on the gag @ the end. The performance didnt tell me he was about to get kicked. I was confused, and the dance a little linear. Also, I dont think you needed to put your lip sync excercise at the end. At the very least a short breather after your film, it deserves it.
A couple times I was distracted by the eye movement (the head turn around 21/22 sec) (when hes trying to talk himself out of lifting, there is a few weird stuff, but alsosome nice things) but otherwise, the eyes did a nice job of drawing me in. Otherwise, great perfomance, from all your characters. In retrospect, I laughed at the big guy charging in, ha ha ha.
I like when the alarm goes off and when he turns to lift the crate. I like the supervisors reaction after poking him. I also like the beat when he decides not to fix his problem. (cept the eyes at the end )
I feel that if you should have pushed his expressions when he gets charged at, and when he realizes the box is gonna fall on him; for a super nice contrast with all the sweet subtle stuff.

really good solid work man, the overall look of the animation is really clean and you've given your characters a lot of personality. i remember seeing this on every screen being rendered in lab one, glad you got it all done, good luck job hunting.

This is easily one of my favourite animations to come out of CG Talk - and what a surprise its from the Vancouver Film School haha. You guys never cease to surprise me :D Your animation rocks dude, the movements are flawless, the characters all have awesome qualities (each of them unique) and the story is simple and quite effective.
Seriously top notch! :buttrock:

ok back home and looking for jobzzz, I added a low res version of my animation, about a third of the size
Sollesnes ---thanks dude, i'm on the ball
3d43Jesse ----yah jesse! thanks again for the uni ref!
r1d3r ----yah for sure, I think if you get a 360 you can even play your old halo2 on it!
ShadowM8 ---thanks serg, looking forward to seeing your finished stuff, and your girl with hair!
.:Tr@ceR:. ----hmm I don't think the requirements to get into VFS are that hard, I think that maybe sheridan is more picky, but you probably only have to have minimal if any 3d experience to get into the program, but if you work hard you can learn a lot
c_Hotchkiss ---- hey thanks alot for the feedback, it's always interesting to hear what looks funky/ doesn't work for people. at this point I can't do much to change it, although I've had a couple comments now to cut the lipsync, so maybe I should drop it....
blz ---- thanks man!
shiaopoo --- yah even though our year was a ton of hard work, at least we had some fun in the lab while we where there, hope to see your stuff soon also!
PHO 75 ---- yeah you can look forward to trying to steal as many computers as you can, setting up batch rendering is actually kind of fun, there isn't much work for you to do, the computer handles it all
neonodesign --- thanks, I actually started with the character designs I wanted to use, and tried to find a story to fit them into to, um maybe not the best approach hahaha
Capn_Camo --- wow, you're making me blush, thanks for the flowery compliments!
