View Full Version : shaderAssigner (modeling and render)

I got so frustrated after losing selection when creating lamberts for various tasks that I made a script that could handle this better. So far I have only been focusing on modeling and render. Why? Well, because I render at work and I model at home. I needed a modelingScript controlling transparency and I "needed" (instead of learning to create the lamberts first :) ) some controls for the renderingtasks.

You can read more about this at the scriptpage. Here's the direct link:

I also did some other updates on my site. Minor, but they're there so read the news if you care :)

I'd like feedback on the script and on the coding. I know the script is a bit tight when it comes to freedom for the user. The script depends to much on objects names etc, but I needed it so I decided to speed up the process. This is also why the help proc is so.... bad. In beta 0.2 this will be fixed and I'll focus on the animation tools.

Feedback appreciated and use the contact form if you want to be notified when updates arrive.

Things I'll add in future releases based on user feedback:
- A "tear off" function for the opacityControl.
