View Full Version : HDRI - Where to put the globe?

Do you put the globe where the 3D object will be and shoot from the final camera position, or do you go 180-degrees from the camera position and shoot there?

My thinking is, do you want the light that's coming behind the object to create backlight and shadows, or just what's going to bounce into the camera FROM the object?
