Dropping or sitting on a wall? The head is too small and legs are too big. Nothing more now. :)

You need to work on the anatomy. Allso maybe a different pose?
Keep it going :)

corrected the proportions, and put her in some background, thinking if i should relax the feet so it would look more realistic since , but i kinda like it more this way

Hiya, the proportions are better but still wrong.
I've painted over your illustration just to show how I think the legs should be. I'm still learning myself so if anyone can show you better then I hope they do :)
Sorry if I offend you by doing this :)
Also, the arm needs shortening move the hand up the arm a little and that should fix the problem. Hope I have been of some help :)

I'm wondering about the arm that is mostly hidden by the body. I doesn't look fully correct. My advice would be to make a new layer and draw that over the body so you could see which part of it that is hidden by the body.
(I don't feel that I did explain what I mean that well. My english you know.)
btw: I like the biggnes in the legs eaven if they may not be anatomical correct.

I dont' think she looks like she's floating. She looks more to me like she's bent in that position and balanced face down on that shrubby surface.

thanx for the comments,
no offense taken enialadam :) , though i cant see your image ^^,
ill shorten the legs more though
Martin_B: i know what ya mean, and it was painted in a previos skech, but somehow a line got lost, right below the left ellbow should be a part of the right arm, the hand itself is behind the knees.
BMunchausen: yeah, thats the incorrect lightning, so head and the stone look like they are in the same place, also the background aint final, just to get a feel of how its gonna look like ( its underwater , maybe not clearly visible at that state ).

thanx for posting again, about what i did :)
heres the new version, hope the lightning is better in this but didnt put much time into it, just to get a basic idea of the forms

Looking much better. I think you now need to move the elbow down because the arm from the albow up should be about the same length as the arm from the wrist to the albow.
Hope that helps :)
also I think the hand is a little too large for a female figure.

just out of curiosity, why are you so married to this pose, it's very unnatural...
but maybe that's just me...
08-19-2005, 02:43 PM
yeah, i was thinking bout the elbow position, but when i moved it the forearm looked to small, ill check it out some more. the hand looks right to me though, just about the size of the face.
@FourCrows: its an adaption of the embryonal pose. maybe not very natural cause its relaxed and not very common to see anyway? ^^ ive chosen it for symbolic reasons.
heres a first render pass of the background:
