View Full Version : 2-MINUTE FILMCLUB! The Fight: DHARMA-JOREY [ANIMATED]
08 August 2005, 03:13 PM
Ok, we're in.
Next month Jorey and me (Dharma) will be working in that short movie.
We don't have so much time, so we came up with a very simple idea in order to focus on the directing issue (a boxes' fight)
We alredy have made a shortmovie together (Live action + 3D) but now we want to use animation so we have total freedom in camera movements and frame composition.
I'll be posting the Story as soon as I found some place in internet to upload it and we'll try to finish the Animatic next week.
See you, good luck to everybody and ENJOY!

Ok. The Story Board is ready. You can download it at
And the animatic...
You can see that the animatic is slightly different than the story. We cutted off some shots at the end of the fight and some camera movements have been added.
Now we are working on the character design and very soon there will be some images to post.
Bye chan!! :D

Interesting textures on your goemetric warfare. Do you have a backstory for this universe? I like the look of the shapes - they really feel menacing. I also like the fact that your cubes aren't exact 90 degree angles. What soundscape do you have in mind?
It will be interesting to see their character play out through their motions.
good luck to you guys!

very interesting right now, and the choice of not using humans is a good move for me. Keep it up!

wow, love the emotion you put out into those faceless objects --- truly powerful -- i hope you highten the emotion of it by adding a team work aspect between your shapes -- have them communicate and stratgize as well as some humor mixed in with faulty punches and bloopers of them messing up in various battling tactic's -- Intergration of these elements i believe will be at the level of pixar type animation.
Go for it -- if you believe in it.
