The Siggraph DVD demoreel is now available for download.
Just like last year, we've bundled the coolest Blender work into an (almost) 9 minutes long compilation. This year, Jan Morgenstern of Wavemage ( composed music to go along with the video.

There's no DivX or Xvid version available yet because, well, I suck at compressing video. I'm hoping someone out there will make a nice version and email me a link ;-)

Now, fire up your Bittorrent ( client, grab the .torrent file and get ready to be amazed. (Well, after downloading 470MB that is). 2005 DVD ISO File ( [470MB]

I would have like to have seen this Blender DVD, just because I'm curious to see what Blender does.

I set up BitTorrent for the download, but nothing came in. I can only guess that there were no other users online "seeding" the chunks of video down the line.

more likely is that you have firewall settings that block the port being used, I see 38 seeds and 27 peers and no current downloads. You can download the divxed version from the above link provided via http, which is smaller size and not dvd quality but still pretty good, and no torrent handling software required.

Thanks for your help, everybody.

I finally managed to download the ISO DVD image (using BitTorrent), and burned it to a DVD disk.

Hey, the Blender showreel is cool. I love the music too.

The world is lucky to have an open-source 3D application like this, free for everyone to download and use.
