I just bought a new system, and installed Windows XP pro. The operating system feels slow, but all the other applications fly. I've formatted the drive with NTFS.

When I drag windows around I get jerky a delay before it responds.
It takes for ever to boot and shut down as well.

Bet you didnt install nVidia graphics card drivers (forceware). Make sure you've also installed your mobo chipset drivers too.

I did install the nVidia display well as the mother board drivers. Not sure what the problem was, but I decided to install Win 2K pro (with SP4), and it's running like a dream. :bounce:

Thanks anyway for the help.
