View Full Version : WIP DCX (BF42) Night Carrier Scene

OK, these are the first ever full scale images I worked on Max. I'm still in the WAY infant stages at this point, but I love the learning exercises. The image below is going to be a night version of the image even further down.

I'm thinking about abandoning the BF42/DC/DCX models and moving onto the BF2/RC models and starting over with this image since I really want to get it done and looking nice. I've been learning tons working the lighting on this scene and, after reading through the forums here, have some new ideas as how to approach the lighting. With the current setup I was dragging my computer to its knees. I think I'll create lighting layers and use post processing to complete the image. Any ideas you folks would have would be of help too. Obviously, the amount of lights is going to be huge and this is only the start. Thanks for looking and any comments and I hope I'm not embaressing myself too much!
(GAH! Jaggies are killing me! Needs more AA, but I was under a tight schedule to get it done... :) )

Not bad...

I know it's meant to be night :) ... but get some more lights in that scene or you might as well just use a 2048x1024 black picture.

Hehehe It is just a WIP, those are just the lights I've emplaced to date. Needs MUCH more work...
