A good start.. A nice connection between an external editor and maya.. A final release will be very interesting.

wow, this is super cool. I've been using contex for a while now but i can see the advantages of this integrated with Maya. Has a lot of potential.

very nice .. could u have the option to change the maya perfs folder .. right now its :

c:\documents and settings\Butcher\My Documents\maya\6.5\prefs\

i can see a place for that inside the Settings-Directories .. but its not active.

Hope Alias will notice how important it is :)

Looks very promising! Thank you for the effort you are putting into this.
Could you just make a short howto list to get it started, because I always
get the "not connected" error message. Thanks!

Let's have this mel-sourcer up and running again..
I've realy been looking for a great editor for mel, but none of them seems to integrate with Maya the way I want. Except maybe, mel sourcer hopefully and offcourse Mel Studio, but I'm not sure if it's worth using any money on it.

I bought a copy of MEL Studio Pro, it is worth every cent.
I only wish it would directly source ( not through source file menu item ) the open MEL script file ( not run the script) in Maya.

Still looking forward to testing your app...
I'm satisfied with trying an early beta, so you dont have to make it all perfect at first release..

Wow! The screen looks very promising, I'd sertainly try it out but none of the links is working for me atm..

If someone that downloaded could host it up I'd really appreciate that.

I have it on my machine at home, but don't have anywhere to upload it to. If you have a webhost to upload to, email me at into.iniquity @ gmail.com and I'll email it to you (gmail allows 10mb attachments, right?)

Awesome, have already tried it..

However, there are already as well, some downers.. It seems to error looking for his local prefs, its setup mainly for Maya 6.0 and Maya 6.5. If you try to select a block of code/text you get a bunch of error popups saying "Index out of bounds (0)" or something to that effect. Looks very handy and nice but, I shall stick to my other uses for now ..
