Hi everyone
does anybody knows how to export maya objects(like camera, lines..) to .3ds files or any other file format which can import into 3ds max. I required your help.

Personally, I don't know of a .3ds exporter for Maya... but depending on which applications you have access to, there are many options.

Do you have access to 3DSMax? If that's the case, you could try to export from Maya using some intermediate format that Max can understand using free plug-ins, for example, Collada or FBX. For Collada, I recommend you download the latest colladamaya version from:

and download the latest Max plug-in from

Also, you could try older formats like .obj.

the fbx exporter for maya should do the trick. max and xsi also support fbx
