Hello there,

this is my first model / scene i am working on.
Critcs, ... and help on the materials are very welcome.

Is there a way to decrease rendertime when im using AA (with raytraced reflections and shadows enabled + area lights)?

Perhaps you have some tips.. :)

Here is my Scene:

honestly You got the surfaces looking pretty good right now

the thing that i see is it all seem alittle out of scale
the floor tiles maybe ther too big, the bath looks to be flowing in space

maybe push hard in the corner ?
maybe put a vanity/sink in there to get a better bathroom feel
maybe put in a big white board behide the camera to give the impression of a window behide the camera

just some ideas, But really good job so far, keep going :buttrock:

What you really need for any kind of interior work is a floorplan. Sketch one out from your imagination or copy one from your house-its just essential.

Lighting wise, what are your settings? Does it have to be an area light? Using a distant light with low radiosity settings can be very effective.
Area lights are great but if their shadows are switched on you get large render times. Experiment with no raytraced reflection too. Use a nice jpeg of a bright room in the reflection map of the materials.
