View Full Version : Character - Seal

Hey everyone,

Been quite a while since I've posted. Recently I've been trying harder than ever to break into the industry...and I've finally cracked it. I'm in! Hehe! Couldn't be happier! Unfortunately I have to wait to start...but oh well: patience is a virtue! :)

This Navy Seal was modeled using about 7300 tri's (been upping the count of my models lately) and was textured using three flats: one for body, head and accessories. Each texture was painted at twice the intended size and scaled down later.

Just adding finishing touches to this piece...and could really use some comments to fix it up a little if need be.

A shot:

Thanks for any C&C! :)

ima lazy typer today, so excuse my simple listing of crits i have.
- overall the texture of your guy is colorless and monotonic. try to add some colors and you'll improve him a lot

- his lower arms seem be to too short imo.
- his upper body is too long, get some anatomy refference

Looks great to me dude.

You could maybe liven up the colors a little? Looks a bit on the dull side at the moment! Other than that everything looks just fine to me, great work!
