Hi @ all,
its many time that i not post my new Lowpoly Work for the upcoming RPG Game "Grotesque".
I hope you like the Two charakters.
the First is an Spidercreature,the second is an Charakter his Name is Holy.
All Characters i have made with Max7 and textures painted in Photoshop.
I hope you like it.

other than a little bit of uv stretching in that monsters ab area, it looks really nice. the hero's looking pretty spiffy himself.

it looks like they left monster man in the oven too long...jiffy pop and creatures of the night just dont mix! :) lol

I think the texture work specially on the spider guy is alright, I can't see his modelling all too well because it's a bit dark on my monitor.
The hero character I'm not liking as much. His facial features, mainly his nose and mouth are not selling it too well for me. It might look as stylization, but it reads as lack of anatomy knowledge imho.
His arms are a bit too straight, so it's also looking like he's on a very odd position.
The neck of that guy also looks pretty weird, as in too cylindrical, but it'd be easier to judge if you posted a wireframe view of this model.

Hope this helps you, if you're still working on these.

Well done!

I like the Hero. There ist only one think which strikes my eyes. The Face. The mouth looks a bit strange. I`m sure that you can fix that ;) . The armor is very nice - I like the golden color. The Alpha-Map Hair is also nice.

The spider looks very dangerous and it has also a very nice and detailed texture, especialy with the Bump-Map (2nd Pic). I like the head of this creature. It would look better if you would try to model the stomach instead of using only a texture.

Im looking forward to your next creatures an characters.

Well done!

I like both characters very much, because they are different and not like all “the others”.
I think, that especially Holy has a very individual appearance. He seems really to be a hero but on the other hand he looks like very different.
I hope you understand what I mean.

Imho the face of Holy is not wrong, only different as the normal faces. It gives him charakter.
I think, that “the very odd position” is caused of the not having animated him.
I’m sure that he looks great in the game.

I can’t wait to see your next characters.

entwickelt sich ja langsam, wird schick :)
ich mag das Monster, obwohl es ein wenig zu Ton in Ton mit dem Hintergrund ist, vielleicht noch mal per Additiv Alpha nen bissl Glut auf die Haut oder so, irgendwas womit es sichtbarer wird, ansonsten find ich ihn noch etwas steif, aber das liegt wohl eher an der Pose.
Bis auf ein paar Texturestretchings und die merkwürdigen Normalmap auf seinen Händen find ich die beiden aber richtig gelungen:thumbsup:

Hello i will post an near Pic about The Spidercreature....I use my Business Nickname at moment "FASA" but when i`m at Home i will use at next Time my Home Nickname "Medisavia" ....please dont wondering about next Pic are an near Perspektive from my Spidercreature ;)

I like both characters, the UV-coordinates of the arms of the monster are a little bit streched, so it could look better if you fix that. His mouth could be more 3D, at the moment the impression is only 2D, if you understand what I mean.
But else, really good work, Fasa!

Nice work FASA, I see you developed your own style, maybe the texturing on the legs could be fixed and the texture itself a little more variedly. Something that shows the profession from the spider thing more than yet.
