07 July 2005, 01:27 PM

07 July 2005, 02:29 PM
Oh my god those eyes haha, I am a fan allready! :D Superb!

07 July 2005, 02:44 PM
haha thats cool, maybe some bump map on his skin, looks a bit plastic

07 July 2005, 03:29 PM
haha! totally sweet! I love the proportions. bump and spec maps would be really great for this character, the spec map especially.

07 July 2005, 04:28 PM
This is awesome. Long time Guillom ;) Nice to see ya here. I hacve nothing to crit at the moment becouse the model looks cool. Great bravo for an idea. Keep it up.:applause:

07 July 2005, 05:02 PM
Lookin great man. Your last comp entry was awesome too.

Where is the red loincloth thing coming from though? It looks like its attached right to his body at the moment. Maybe I'm not looking at it right though.

07 July 2005, 06:04 PM
Mrdes : thx, in fact it is attached to a kind of underwear but the view is not appropriated

Por@szek : Hi ! always good to have feedback from you, your critics are always constructive...

Adam Atomic : thx adam ! i will use zbrush for some normal and maybe some hand painted normal stuff in photoshop. I think i will have fun with spec too .

Joee : thank you, there are no textures for the moment but of course i will do :)

EVIL : so much thx

jOBe : :D

Totally dig the proportions guillom!...sooo much character at this stage....but also a solid example of modelling...keep up the good work...btw...sorry if mentioned before...but do you intend to rig and wweight this character...I think he desernes to be honest...

07 July 2005, 07:23 PM
Excellent character. Let's just hope he doesnt make motor sounds and turn up on television every 5 minutes ;)

07 July 2005, 08:49 AM
Supervlieg : thx :)

johnwoo : so much thx ! yes i think i will rig him ! with this proportions it will be funny to see him moving ;)

07 July 2005, 08:01 AM
Normals looks cool, I suggest You to make the skin sharper, with more holes and hills :) Something like a squized paper. The skin is too perfect at the moment, but maybe You will do a cartoon version so then its ok. Maybe more attantion to hands -> fingers. And my please to You, could You send me some link to tutorials about making normals under zbrush??

Good job man.

07 July 2005, 06:03 PM
Looks excellent!

I love the proportions and his blank, beady eyed stare! Looks like a great character to animate with. Im kinda worried about the similarity to that crazy frog, but as long as you dont make him blue, give him a helmet and model him a knob, youll be ok :scream:
It also partly reminds me of that guy with the snout in the cantina band scene in star wars!

I dunno why, but i just love the rear view - theres just something so wierd and creepy about his small back and giant arse!

Nice work, the Zbrush pass works really well, I'd work some alpha's into the fingers and toes when you come to texture, keep it sort of translucent, fake SSS or whatever.

07 July 2005, 01:50 PM
Gui, I have been a fan for quite sometime now, and this just keeps on uping how much I love your work!

The style you have is just amazing, and I am speechles... this sure kicks Ben Mathis's frog in his Z Brush tut (if anyone has seen it, you will know what I am talking about)

Awsome stuff GUI, NOW MORE!

07 July 2005, 10:10 AM
Jason-Lavoie : thank you very much

S. J. Tubbrit : well good advice !

AndyH : thx

It also partly reminds me of that guy with the snout in the cantina band scene in star wars!

i just have to give hin a lightsaber :D

Por@szek :

the hands at the stage of the last pic were not made so here is the final version for the normals

i think i will add some imperfections on the skin with hand painting it in photoshop directly on my normal map texture sheet.

here is the begining on the textures

Excellent character. Let's just hope he doesnt make motor sounds and turn up on television every 5 minutes ;)

LoL, that's the best thing I've heard in a while Great job Guillom. I love the texturing so far. I can't wait to see him fully textured. He looks really fun to animate!

nice chars with a loly structure :D. and nice Zbrush Wirk :)

09 September 2005, 10:03 PM
thx everybody ! :)

09 September 2005, 10:35 PM
ohh man this is so good xD

but I suggest to make more muscular legs
so that they can support the body if you know what I mean.

this way he will fall down or have no balance while standing,walking,etc...

p.s. make a good render when you finish, pwease :O

This little guy is fantastic. Any chance of seeing him posed?

10 October 2005, 04:20 PM
Hi there Guillom :)

This frog-guy looks excellet, like it a lot, very good idea, very well done. Keep it up!

10 October 2005, 07:07 AM
That's got to be one of the damndest strangest models I've seen recently. It's excellent. Those eyes are great! Very expressive and like people have been saying, loads of character.

Man, I can already imagine the kind of walk cycle I'd animate for him. Kinda a cross between a leap and walk. So much potential for animation. You could even rigg a great big ol' tongue so he could eat up flies..

10 October 2005, 08:29 AM
Excellent!!....I love this character...he is soooooooo cool...and he looks like a character that can kick ass when he has too....awesome job man...awesome...and I totally dig the ZB work, it's really come together really well...

10 October 2005, 09:01 AM
thanks a lot everybody !

i didn't imagine people like so much this character :)

I really want to see him moving but i'm very bad at rigging/animation, so if someone is interested in doing something on this little thing and bring it to life...

let me know.

10 October 2005, 09:10 AM
enjoying the weather, had to put the heating on this morning. bbrrrrr.

oph yeah, loverly model, texturing is sublime, and the guy is cute, wish he'd go and beat up another certain CG frog i know.:banghead:

10 October 2005, 05:18 PM
Man, that's so cute! I love that frog! t3h fr0gm4n! Keep up the good work.

10 October 2005, 05:49 PM
very nice, only wish that the other metal plates had some sort of sheen or design on them as well.... even if it was very subtle.

10 October 2005, 09:06 PM
I crack up every time I see that Frog's ass.

10 October 2005, 11:39 PM
You have to rig him, it will be a good exercise and we need to see him posed:)

11 November 2005, 03:25 PM
Hi GMolle !!
A new master piece you made there :)
Now you must do a small animation just for me :bounce: and for sam too
bye ...

11 November 2005, 07:59 PM
Hehe thx everybody

normally this fella is going to be rigged at this moment so wait a little :)

I think I'll put this one once rigged on the forum if someone is interseted to play with it
because i never tried animating, so i supposed i'm crap, i d better give that to a reel animator .

I think i can give that to one animator at work

SAM and Bartabac : Will be better quality, i'm sure for you my friends
