View Full Version : Audio and animation not in sync

I'm going to lose my head!
For some reason, when I preview my animation with and audio file loaded into Lightwave, it all works wonderful. As soon as I try to add the sound file to the rendered animation in Adobe Premiere, nothing is in sync.
Both my animation and audio file is 186 seconds in length. The animation is running at 25 fps for PAL D1 (720x576).

Has anyone out there had the same problem?

All I can think of is the audio start time might be off. Doublecheck that in the scene editor, and make sure the offset is in seconds, not frames. After you add the sound in Premiere, are you rendering to a file or just doing a preview in Premiere? I suggest rendering a low-res cinepack avi to test the sync; it'll look ugly but I find them to be more accurate.

hmmm, I rebooted my pc and the problem disappeared. Why does stuff like that always happen when I'm on a tight deadline.

Because it's funnier that way :)

Hi, just had a question.

When your doing facial animation, can you simply load up the audio file your trying to lipsync in lightwave? or do you have to use some kind of plugin?

You can load a wav file in the scene editor.
