hey all,

I need to animate water for a fountain in 3d.
the fountain is a hand with a big marbale ball on top and when the water that comes from the plam of the hand comes out it will spin the giant marbale ball. ........for a client....

can any of you animation masters help me?!

been trying to use meta particals, but its too slow and is crashing max (using 3D max 4).

any tip or technique you could share would be a big help......

I have little experience with particles or water, but I once used those metaparticles you seem to hate, and it worked pretty good. I textured them with a semi-transparent shiny raytracing material, I think it was max 3.

Right now I can't think of any other way in max4 without extra pluggins. As I said, I dont have much experience with particles anyway. I hope someone else does.

I not up on the all thoes plugins, but I have heard of realflow
I think I am go to try that.......

hope its fairly user friendly.....
