View Full Version : How to smoothen camera motion through keyframes?

Hi guys, i need some help with camera motion. I've tried everything, but i can't get the camera to move through keyframes smoothly. I tried turning on "smooth velocity", and changing the spline of the camera to "ease in ease out", but it still has those abrupt movements. It mostly happens when i make keyframes by tilting the camera around.

What are your techniques for smoothening camera movement through the keyframes?
Im using Vue 4.

I am not doing animation anymore and i haven't done much animation with Vue.

But in the good old day the trick always was "use as little keyframes as possible"

Thanks, i'll try that. Does anyone else have other techniques?

To refine keys, work with the filter.

I did a workaround for this by letting the camera track a cube, and animating the cube. The camera now looks around by looking at the cube, which moves around smoothly in bezier curves.

Anyway, thanks for all ur help. Phoul, which are the filters? are those the splines like "ease in ease out" that can be used for animation and topology?

To learn filters, two cool tutorials in the manuel (Infinite) page 435 and 437.
