I really like the style of him :). I think if you use a skylight in your scene, and change the intensity somewhat, you will get a good cell shading effect, if thats what your looking for. Im not very familiar with 3ds max yet, but Im getting there. Good job so far!

Check out the ink and paint Max materials for some toon fun stuff ;) They are pretty versatile with a little tweaking, might be some kinda overlay trick waiting to be poked in there or something ;) Hehe I can't remember if this character is called 2D, or 3D... Either way it's a cool model so far. You seen that crazy buggy they have? That would make for cool 3d hehe.

Carry on sir ;)

LOL felt like doing some more before I went to bed... got the shirt and the neck pretty much done...

Get the figure, it's a near perfect translation of the character you could use for ref.

That doesn't really look like the 2d (haha same name) version... Im just going by the couple of pictures I have of the cartoon version... I like em much better for both reference and style...

He came out very close and true to the 2D character. I prefer the color of the hair in your avatar. What about showing some wires? Good job mein freund!

VERY VERY should try the scene whith the fliyng windmill.

Feeeling good inc.

Just to put the record straight. It is Noodle in the flying windmill shot.

I made that mistake as well, but she has apparently grown up which is why she appears a little different.
