Just a quick word from DMF. It's a really small show with only a few hundred conference attendees and maybe a thousand or so general people milling around the expo. Despite that, we've had a good turn out to our booth and I'm pleased to report that we look like the only booth that's actually making sales at this show! :)
Our inaugural CGSociety event went well (compared to the other partner events in the same theatre that looked DEAD). Our presentation filled almost all the seats in the partner theatre, and we showed a lot of cool material from the upcoming books including D'artiste: Character Modeling and Matte Painting. We also showed the CGPrints live so people could get up close to them and check out the quality of the prints. EXPOSE' 3 was available from our booth.
This has been a great event as far as meeting people goes. Got to meet lots of CGTalkers and CGSociety members at this event. Also got to meet up with the local Australian studios and companies who will be participating in future CGSociety events!
So, for a small conference, this has been a success for us. We're really happy with the turn-out and meeting all the CGTalkers was great! Erilaz will be writing the show coverage of the actual conference, which we'll publish next week.
