There is a free plugin out there that does bullettime for you, and it's very simple to use. Don't remember where I found it but do a search on , or google. I am also not sure if the plugin was updated for r6/r7's SDK, but again it can't hurt to look.

There's a script, written by Bobo (Borislav Petrov) called MaxTrix, which automates bullet-time effects. I've found it a little difficult to use, but that's more because of the whole bullet-time concept (mapping less than 1 frame of animation to more than 1 frame of rendering) and not the script itself.

It is possible to do bullettime in Max without anything except some video post tweakage, but MaxTrix does make it much easier. It does work in Max 7, and I have it as a button on my toolbar next to BlowStuffUp. You can get it at Scriptspot, at Bobo's homepage:

i got a much better way, adjusting the timeline in the trackview. adjusting the slope gradient would be ideal.

but..........could someone tell me the location of the green timeline, i cant find it any longer.....

You can do it using Ease Curves also. But it's tedious to set up, I think most methods are pretty tedious to work with, except Bobo's script if you can get your head around how it works.

If you're using Biped, there's a built in time stretch effect in the Motion Mixer. Kind of fun to play around with, but doesn't work with the all objects, just the biped bones.

The best solution would be if Max let you apply one Ease Curve to your entire scene, instead of one controller at a time. Maybe some day...
