View Full Version : problems with shape animation and skeletons

erm' can anyone help me?.
i have a character... i did a few shape blends on the facce and it's working..
then i needed to rig it ... but it seems that my morphing isn't working anymore after applying skeletons.... help me! should i envelope the whole thing THEN only i make shape blends? or is it we can't have both of them working together?..

don't know if this is too late or not :)

What you do is this (#4- will help you).

1. model character.. hehe
2. apply envelope
3. forgot to add all shapes
4. model new shapes
5. "MUTE" the envelope operator
6. Add new shapes
7. "UNMUTE" the envelope operator

There you go :) And if you have any wondering about how to make the shape animation I suggest you take a look at a tutoral I made some time ago

I glad you enjoyed them. I'll try and make some new ones, they should be up within a month or so. They should all be updated and re-written for 3.0. I'm planing to make some more character rig tuts (and remove the old ones).
If Ed let's me I'll post them on his site :)
