View Full Version : Q: Glass rendering

Hi everyone,

I just started using 3d gfx. Learned modeling a little. Know i want to render some nice things. Decided to render a glass from an example, spent almost a day on trying various settings, and didn't get results like in picture i attached. I'm using 3d studio max 7. Maybe someone have idea how to render such glass? What is glass material settings? Which renderer is the best for that sort of materials (default, mental ray, vray) and what settings to use? What about a lights? Share your knowledge please. It would be very inresting to see your glass renders :)

Hmm, I'm not sure I can explain much, it's been a while. But here is a file for you to reverse engineer if it will help any! Good luck!
