Hey all,

This is from a little while ago but I didn't get round to posting it and I could use a good crit or two on it.

This time around I only had to texture the weapon (it wasn't built by me). The main flat was painted at 2048 px sq and ended up 1024 px sq. I also used a 512 flat for the silencer.

That is one sweet model and a deadly texture..the only thing i can see is on the handel, the

bumps and groves of the hand grip look abit flat, maybe if u add a bit of a bump map 2it or sumthing?? every thing else looks way cool.:thumbsup:

Nice stuff.

Why did you texture both sides of the weapon seperately, though? You could have doubled up the sides that are exactly the same and use the new UV space to pump some more detail into it. You did it with the laser sight but not for anything else...

Also on the top bit (I think it's called the slide?) one side of it seems to have been smoothed, and the other still has banding...

utchamp: I used PS CS for this one.

ArchangelTalon: Thanks, glad you like it. Each side was mapped seperately because the Walther logo is on the handle of the weapon. Didn't want it to be backwards on the other side. Having said that one half will not be visible in I will see what changes I can make once it's been implimented. Thanks for the comments =)

It depends on You but, always you can do this. And I agree with the people. Cool stuuf. Looks very real. Maybe some bump will add more atractive.
