View Full Version : A free 3d pre-viz tool solution?

I'm looking for a free 3d pre-viz solution (for live action) which allows me to:

1. Import a wav(with a voice reading the script/dialog ect.)
2. Set up cameras/simple models of humans, houses ect.
3. Animate everything to the wav
4. Print the camera setups(and descriptions) as storyboardpages.
5. Print the camera setups(and descriptions) as as a ground plan(seen from above).
6. Export the animatic with cuts between cameras and sound to a mov/avi.

Any suggestions?

Btw. has anyone come across a free 3d pre-vis model(low poly - humans, cars, cameras ect.) pagage(.obj or whatever)?

If not maybe we could collect links to simple models suited for pre-viz here?

This project looks very interesting: animix (http://animix.sourceforge.net/index.php)
(But not 3d, nor XP or finished yet)

Not sure if Celtx will add storyboard functions? Celtx (http://animix.sourceforge.net/index.php)
(But free and useful for writing scripts)

Other scriptwriting tools at filmmaker.com (http://www.filmmaker.com/downloads-cat-5.html)
