I tried that "underwater effect" and it didn't work. So I contiuned the first idea. 10 hours of work or some. The image is still in lower res, planning to increase it at tomorrow.

 Do you think that's water incoming?... It's late and I should be in sleep :), but thanks anyway

Do you think that's water incoming? ...

hmmm... my suggestion maybe direct the splash more to the side so that it wont look like they just dive in, also define the beasts underbelly a little bit, since you'll getting rid some of those front splashes... jst a thought & of course you can just ignore me:) ... be back for more

Looks realy nice to me, I'm waiting for new updates :scream:

05-06-2005, 05:30 AM
Hey another finnish guy. Sure you gonna made us proud by finishing this pic in time :applause:

Im not so sure about the water effect. Cant really tell are they jumping in the water? Or out of the water? If out you should make a bomb blast style water pylon thingy.

Good luck!

05-07-2005, 01:10 PM
Interesting... Very hard to make convincing water. Maybe you should post some initial sketches?

A little test

05-11-2005, 06:56 AM (

Still working on his appearance. For some odd reason that movie "Bad Taste" popped into my head :)

I hope this works :) I have whole new idea and perhaps I'll switch for it, because so many participants have the same "master rides with servant" idea :P

05-14-2005, 06:23 AM (

So this is it, I'm kinda fond with it :) What do you think?

05-14-2005, 09:29 AM
Love the new concept mate....very dramatic indeed. Excellent composition.
You're gonna have to get a move on mind, only days to go !!!

Good luck

05-14-2005, 11:30 PM
doood... u got skillz!! so cool pic :bounce:

05-15-2005, 11:28 PM (

I'm so tired, I worked 24h for that last update. I've tried many color settings on that landscape and still it doesn't look quite right.

As you can see there's still lot a work to do, but I think I can upload the final image in time. I'm going to make a huge flock of animals following Noah.
Then the ship

Thanks for the comments!

Tere Zockke! I really like the stuff you've posted here! I absolutely love the greyscale pic! and it has very epical composition also. Your color version has quite good composition, but not even nearly as good as it in the BW pic. If you still have some energy you could try to reposition things like they are in it. I know, Lot's of hard work... and so little time...

anyway, Good luck!

Interesting idea. Good twist of the familiar "Ark story". Can't wait to see your finished piece. Best wishes to you.

Termos TeemuR!

Thanks. Hey maybe you are right, older composition works better. I'll post few proposal suggestions next. :deal:

Thank you SunnySiu!

Another one from suomi! You guys are really coming out of the woodwork!

I love your sky...I think that's the best part of it. It is a wonderfully relaxing and beautifully colored sky, it complements the scene perfectly. You can rest in the knowledge of creating one sopoja sky!

moi moi,

My apologies- I was thinking of 'Porot ovat sopoja' and sort of...didn't think about it!

My sister in law is finnish, so I'm TRYING to learn this freakishly hard language!! It's like an extraterrestrial language or something...OK, I'm exaggerating but it is still tough...

YES I DID IT! \o/ THX FOR HELP!!. I worked something like 48 hours incessantly listening chroniXradio and drinking red bull to make it happen :buttrock:

My sister in law is finnish, so I'm TRYING to learn this freakishly hard language!!

Great to hear that someone even bothers to learn this utterly ugly language, good luck

from this matter to another: Last week and this week has been awfully terrible since I have been moving from my precious flat. So I appoligize my absence. Hopefully I find time to make more artwork to this great society/forum whatever :D
