What 3D Animation packages can import/export models done in ZBrush 2. I knoe ZBrush can import/export only in OBJ and DXF files but what 3D animation software(Maya, Lightwave, Studio Max, etc) excepts this format and also can you take a model made in ZBrush import to an Animation software and use the model for animating. THanks

*.obj works with all softwares.

Thanks. Can an OBJ model be animated. What I mean is can you have the model move around interact in a 3D animation program even though it was modeled in a different program.

sure. just export the model from Zbrush in .obj and import the model in your package , for example maya, rig, and save your scene, so that u'll have also a model native for that app.BTW u don't need to save the new scene to start animating but could be a good idea to have a different version of your model in natve format.
incidentally, obj format supports UVs too, so also the uvs generated from Z brush could work as well to apply the diplacements to your model dips and normal map works like a charm ! :)
