its a great looking image i light the style, the lighting and the great use of colour. In critisism the first two things that jump out at me are the texture on the horned creature that is looking a bit bland and the blank expression on the old man/wizards face.

Good luck with your animation.

that is so sexy! can we see higher res pics ?

how long are render times ?

10-10-2002, 01:54 AM
ey lookin good.

are you workin on this alone?

reminds me of FF9,
(minus the pinkish ambiance)

would you be posting the animations online?
i would sure love to see them

10-10-2002, 06:38 PM
here is something higher res....

one frame in PAL resolution takes about 10 minutes to render
( on a double processor ATHLON 1,3GHZ machine,768 Mb RAM )
WITHOUT raytracing
i use 6 machines at blanx effects- a company based in cologne-thanks guys....

yes, i work on it alone- it´s my first attempt to put a 3D-short together and to practise some character animation, i am still weak at animating-but the results aren´t too bad:D

the comparison with FF9 embarasses me, o no, its leaps away from the squaresoft-stuff ...

still rendering....i´ll put the results online, when it´s finished...

I´ll be in vacation for 2-3 weeks( i am going to France!! )...

Wonderful work puuuf..................Very whimsical. You should be proud.

It does resemble the excellent work from Anybyte, the Spanish CG art studio. Which is a big compliment.

It looks to have that very appealing and quaint look and feel.Nice fantasy setting.Nice details, you can never get enough of those details.

Overall very good work,congrats.......:applause:

IS this all made by you selfe........... Or how many are doing this animation...--- :buttrock:

01-09-2003, 06:21 PM
So again, thanks to all!!!!

Once again I was on vacation the recent weeks , i hadn´t any chances to finish the film before christmas :hmm:

Yes, IDownupI, this is my personal work, I´ve done everything alone besides the sound and two or three props for the set.
That was quite a stress and most of the times I felt like giving up,
because I was quite a newbie to animation and so many things to do......

Oh, Virtuoso, the Anybyte animations are wonderful and soooo
inspiring and on a very high and professional level, perhaps one day I might achieve this level, too

riXx0r, when i have some spare time left I chat on irc #cgtalk

AND unfortunatly, my web-account won´t be accessable until tomorrow
but then I´ll start a new thread and post the animation.
