hi, i saw there is a boujou forum lacking here.
i have to change that!
so maybe i start with a thead and a problem which really concerns me:
i'd like to MatchMove a shot with very few cameramovement.
but my problem is, that the solver makes a very strange solving.
it's also not really adjustable.
here the example pictures
i put in the 2d scene:
- trackerpoints (manually tracked)
- Lens disortion
- feature tracking
- Masks over moving objects
(- no locators used)
after the solving i get this result:
i tried to historize the picture a bit:
you can see the objects who appear far away in the 2d picture are close to the camera instead of the close objects in the 2d view are far away in 3d.
which means the perspective is twisted.
maybe i should just try "nodal pan" in this case.
I hope somebody knows an idea how to modify the solving :)

locators didn't help.
my result is now much more confused.
perspective still the same: far objects are near in 3d, near objects are far in 3d

I am so new to this program that I am not sure I should be offering any suggestions, but here goes, did you describe your geometry in the scene? I find that once you do this by telling it the vetical and horizontal planes it will correct itself. This is in the tutorials in the help files that describe how to do it.
I hope that helps.

I'ne had a lot of mixed experiences with boujou. My general workflow is this.
Track the scene once with no manual tracks/ gold tracker or laocators and ONLY MASKS. check the results. if this looks good try and describe the scene geometry for a ground plane and at least one feature. then export to app and test.
if the results are dodgy use the gold track feature first try to solve and repeat.
if that isn't working then worry about target tracks and locators.
I generally will on;y go for the last option on extreme circumstances.
I find that operator error and adding too much manual input can screw up the auto solve,.

Use auto-tracking and exporting only flagged tracks. :)

Matchmoving: The Invisible Art of Camera Tracking
by Tim Dobbert.
i coldn't put it down once this was in my hands...definately a must buy.
i'll put this in the resource section as well.
