Title: Scouts Of A Home Guard. The Report.
Name: George Ibrailov
Country: Russia
Software: Painter

In this work I put to myself 2 main tasks: First, I wanted to achieve sensation of fabulousness in a plot, in illumination and in characters. Second, I wanted to show all gravity of intentions of ridiculous small people. They are not trained soldiers are the former countrymen, compelled to take in hands the self-made weapon to protect the village. You ask, from whom to protect? This question will be answered with your imagination.
Excuse me for bad English. Thanks

Great image. Only two comments...The colour of Sunlight isn't white (add a dash of yellow or amber to highlights) and the shadows of the undergrowth and characters aren't dark enough. Great composition of characters. :bounce:

Yes, really right dwarf is similar to Lenin (likely in it the form of a skull is guilty)
, it was already noticed by many of my friends.
But in fact nobody will argue, That Lenin is BEST of scouts! :) :)

O-o! It is good idea! Slippery threat is perfectly!

I think, that scouts have found out this monster (something similar to an amphibious hydra) having a rest in bushes at water where he has eaten the shepherd and sheeps who have come on a watering place. :)

The long-long difficult way ahead...

05-31-2006, 05:37 PM
I really like this piece of work it's simple yet colourful, The creatures remind me of silly lawn gnomes.

Though i do have a concern of the right side of the picture is left pretty bare, it like something is missing from there for composition.

But still amazing work!

Keep the art flowing!
