View Full Version : How to: square and 100% hard brushes ?

I have two questions:
* How can I get a square brush ?
* How can I get a 100% hard brush ?
Even when I set the hardness to 100% the brush has antialiasing on the borders.

Make a cusom one :)

First make a new document whit white backround, use the Marquee tool, fill it whit black.
then press "Edit > Define Brush preset.
et voila~ you got a sqare hard brush.

to get a square all square (hope that made sense), hold the shift key while using the marquee tool.

Photoshop comes with a set of square brushes. Just click on the little down-arrow next to the brush thumbnail when you have the brush tool selected and then click the small round button in the little window that pops up. Down near the bottom of the list that pops up should be a bunch of brush presets, so click on Square Brushes.

To get a brush with no antialiasing just use the pencil tool. It's hidden under the brush tool.
