About Gundam Project: Universal Century
Gundam Project: Universal Century (GPUC) is a Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War (RTS) total conversion modification loosely based on the Japanese animations Mobile Suit Gundam, Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th M.S. Team, Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War In The Pocket, and Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory.
For the first time in a Gundam game, leap into the commander’s seat of your favorite Earth Federation Forces and Principality of Zeon mobile teams in this real-time strategy PC game. Build your own team, lead them throughout the Earth Sphere in a number of different mission types, and battle it out with friends over multiplayer. Features Universal Century mobile suits and mobile armors from 0079, 0080, 0083, plus original vehicles and units created specifically for this mod.
The project goal is to create a deep emphasis on tactical combat, and reduce the distractions of large base management present in WH40K: Dawn of War and other RTS titles. While including our own set of pre-designed objective based missions, and will heavily rely on the ability to command your teams through various types of scenarios.

Set in the same epic science-fiction world as Games Workshop's popular table-top wargame, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War promises to revolutionize the RTS genre with its visceral front-line combat, squad-based tactical gameplay, and streamlined resourcing model.
We are currently looking for good talent in the following fields
Animation: Animation of 3D models of buildings, infantry units, vehicles, mobile armor, mobile suits, weapons, and terrain elements. 3ds Max 5+ for compliancy with game’s animation importing tool is highly preferred, if not required at this present time.
Coding and Scripting: Willingness to learn LUA for coding and scripting of missions, units, buildings, and other miscellaneous objects. Prior experience in coding and scripting is preferred, especially for adding in various unique items.
Concept Art / Graphic Artist: We have an immediate need for artists that can draw concepts for various original structural and vehicle ideas based on reference styles. Final art must be presented in Photoshop format or other high-quality formats for use in animation and modeling purposes. Artist with the ability to draw various illustrations beyond the previous mention conceptual field is a huge plus.
Level design: Currently, this field isn’t direly needed at this present time, but we’re accepting applications for this field. Level designers will be working alongside modelers and graphic artists in the designing of objects and terrain for levels.
Modeling: Design of 3D models of buildings, infantry units, vehicles, mobile armor, mobile suits, weapons, and terrain elements based on concept art and reference material. 3ds Max preferred, but other 3D modeling applications are acceptable with proper importing/exporting tools.
Music and Sound: We’re in need for music and sound to compose various new music and sound effects based on the Gundam series, and will be needed to replicate and sometimes improve on those pieces in the respective series.
Skinning: Skinning of buildings, infantry units, vehicles, mobile armor, mobile suits, weapons, and terrain elements. Adobe Photoshop experience preferred.
Story Development / Tech Writing: We’re in need of writers to develop mission synopsis, new unit technical data and historical notes, as well as campaign related stories.

Is this project going to have space combat or ground combat?
The initial releases of this mod will include a heavy focus on ground combat missions across the diverse environments of the colonies and the Earth. At some point, time will be invested into possible space driven combat, and its overall presentation. Till then we’re focusing with keeping the units on the ground.
