Hi everybody!

I need some precious help as you can read in the title...

In fact, I've tried to make a tutorial from The Pixel Farm, in order to practice Camera Tracking with PFTrack. No problem to do it, but once I work under Lightwave in order to import the generetated scene, it becomes harder...

The grid seems to stick perfectly with the background (a video that you can download here ( ). Next, when I decide to import an object into my scene make a simple render : No problem. BUT, when I make an animation, the result is really poor. You can download the result here ( In fact, the object moves constantly, I mean it slides along the ground.

I verify, my video background is set to 25 i/s and my lws animation too. You can download the scene and the object here (

So, if someone could help me to find a solution, it will be nice.

Thanks a lot to all.

Looks to me like the animation is one frame behind or one frame to late. Try exporting the animation to an image sequence (.tga) without the background, then composit it over the background in a compositing application.
Then ofset the animation starttime by one frame (make it start sooner or later). It might work.

Good luck

Hello Matt,

Thanks for your help, but I tried under After Effects and it's worst in fact.

If someone has a solution and want to try to make it with PFTrack (with the files I gave), it will be nice! =)

I'm going to try again, but it's hard to keep hope...

Thanks a lot.

Are you positive the frame rate is the same in both lightwave and PFTrack?
I had this problem in Icarus (basically the old Beta of PFTrack) and solved it by making sure the frame rates were the same and also making sure I had a sqare aspect ratio when tracking. (That is of course, unless you are tracking video that is widescreen or something.)

I just posted a thread about a track I just did in icarus if you want to look at it.
Good Luck! :)

Have you tried posting to the support forums on the Pixel Farm web site?
