but I think its sleapy-time for me today..........

04-01-2005, 07:10 PM
Very nice dude!

Lots of character in the face as oppsed to just being another bland head model.

Very cool and keep up the good work!

04-01-2005, 07:54 PM
Of course I like the style. Especially the lip area, well done. Waiting for the rest of the torso.

04-01-2005, 08:10 PM
dmonk: thanks, emotions are the stuff that the world is made of!

Brent_3D: torso comming up tomorrow... up till now I did not know that I have some special kind of style, but if you guys say so...... well, thats great -I guess!

04-02-2005, 12:55 PM (

ok, so here the start for the torso! I will make proportions more stylised later! just to get the overall form here...

04-02-2005, 01:50 PM (

continuing the torso, and starting to think about the shoulders!

04-02-2005, 02:49 PM
Nice style, me like :)
Nice modeling too, good luck for you

04-02-2005, 03:40 PM

04-02-2005, 04:56 PM

04-02-2005, 04:58 PM
great concept dude, keep it coming

04-02-2005, 10:29 PM
Ah... Very nice design ! like it so much ! :bounce:

Keep this great work !

04-02-2005, 10:37 PM (

yeah, thats right, he has those short, stumpy legs, those are almost the only thing that will be rigged in this model[the pretorian]!

I'd better go to bed - this supposed to be a weekend.... but I'm working my ass off!

04-02-2005, 10:42 PM
cool. funny character :)

04-02-2005, 10:49 PM
forgot to say thanks to all of you guys supporting me it really keeps me going!
so thank you: eYadNesS, Mr Micro26, 3dRaven, eddieellis, Mr.Waka, smaddl!

and hopefully the horse character will be even more funnier: he'll be all shocked and angry, and maybe saying some bad words! :)

by the way I'd like to recieve some C&C as you guys call it, it can't be that perfect after all... that theres nothing to say!

04-03-2005, 10:58 AM
Hi Miezis, I really like your sense of style:thumbsup:
His face is mental, keep it up mate!
CC His muscles could maybe be sharper, or edgier to match his face, they're looking a bit lumpy at the moment but I can see where you're headed. Maybe some tendons to add strain to his neck..
Good luck;)

04-03-2005, 11:07 AM
DaddyMack: tendons idea is great! haven't thought of that earlier! details on the chest armour will be coming along... but not today.. I want to complete his legs and pelvis area today. [and maybe start making the arms- with enormous muscles with tendons and vains on them... and scars.. oh yeah, this will be nice!]. but i guess the tendons could be added as bump maps...
the texturing part will be HARD!

04-03-2005, 01:53 PM
Nice idea and funny character!!
Good luck

04-03-2005, 05:05 PM (

this is so boring... modeling features that probably noone will see.

and don't worry about the "package" it will be covered by skrit! and yeah I added a belt

now arms! a lot more interesting!

04-03-2005, 07:55 PM
... nice idea and i like your cartoon style ... good luck

04-03-2005, 09:25 PM

04-04-2005, 09:05 AM
Hey man, really like this style you have hehe. Funny and great modelling all at the same time :D Keep going man! btw, nice package :D

04-04-2005, 09:21 AM
really nice model, the face is cool,he looks very stupid :) keep it up, the detail on the helmet is nice:thumbsup:

04-04-2005, 09:41 AM
Interesting and exciting scale of your character! Good to see!

04-04-2005, 04:36 PM
This looks to be a fun project direction for you mate! Very fun look!
The only thing I would say is that this highly stylized character needs a similarly stylized chariot to my eye. The chariot looks a lot more realistic in comparison to the character riding it. You might as an experiment try to create a similarly stylized chariot and see how it works.
Not really a crit, as they are both done exceptionally well, I just think they could jive together a touch more. Good luck! Great work indeed!

04-04-2005, 07:54 PM (

Arny helps! modeling arm apeared to be more of challenge to me -I even had to use a reference! a practise not so common to me! I'm used to making everything by memory!

its a rather small update- but still....

04-04-2005, 08:12 PM
Hi Gunaars, Wow dude awsome stuff  I think your ideas and skills are very good! Looking forward to more... Keep it up And rock on....

04-09-2005, 07:33 PM (

yup its finaly done.
been busy all this week, at a new workplace... and I feel rather depressed looking at your progress- but still I'll continue and try to finish this thing on time!

04-09-2005, 07:38 PM
thank you guys: Ravendsg, Jelmer, Tremoside, blackdragoncg!

Beaner: well the chariot is faaaaaar way from finished, I'll take care of it a bit later!

04-09-2005, 08:16 PM
Hi Miezis, that arm foto is demented man:argh: Your character's overall form is really coming together, Keep it up!!

04-09-2005, 08:57 PM (

sleep is for losers, right? so i decided to do second arm tonight as well!

here he is saluting! [by the way romans invented this salute!].
I'll be adding cape, skirt and some accesories to this model later on... but not today!

thank you DaddyMack! I'm also feeling it! :)

04-09-2005, 10:05 PM
dude his arm is huuuge  :D. really cool :). I've got to model a pair of huge arms as well :), good thing we have arny for this eh?. If you need good reference material you should watch the arnold classics :). Good luck!

04-09-2005, 10:26 PM
