very nice! what is your concept?
The bump looks a bit much in the latest pic I think. apart from that it looks great!

03 March 2005, 10:59 AM
Bumping is definitely too much, and in my opinion, u should use a different specular map. facial skin has that, t- zone thingieforehead, to nose. it is a fantastic model. oh , yeah and maybe more specular , less glossy on the lips, make a difference:thumbsup:

03 March 2005, 01:08 PM
First of compliments to the texturing man very good job no doubt but i totally agree with the other fellas this is too much bump mapping..but other then that looks great dude keep it up

03 March 2005, 07:05 PM
Great modelling but yes, the skin does look too textured up close. What is your storyline? Who is she? Good luck. :) Claireabella

03 March 2005, 07:16 AM (

my concept is about an ordinary girl that always have protection from the ghostly spirits beside her of ancient ninja girl but she never realize that.this is a very quick sketch and probably not going to be the final composition,im going to improvise abit.

03 March 2005, 07:53 AM
thanx so much for all the input, by the way her name is azumi

03 March 2005, 09:05 AM
l liked the sketch especialy. it has ispration in pose. hope to see it in 3d also. keep on

05 May 2005, 01:51 PM (

this is a close up view of my character azumi

05 May 2005, 01:59 PM
don't know shit bout 3d,but i'm liking this allotalthough i think u may be over doing the bumpage a bit in the forehead area.

05 May 2005, 02:05 PM (

i detached head, body, legs, hands just to makeit easier to unwrap.everything will be retouched in photoshop anyway

05 May 2005, 02:10 PM (

this is another character mai, basically shes azumi with school uniform and rather long hair

05 May 2005, 02:15 PM
thanks noob people keep asking me about that to and the oily face,i hope i still have time to fix that.i made this during the night at my office...yes i sleep at my office  im an antisocial now.

05 May 2005, 02:27 PM
eyebol is great,3s skin is also ok,yeah,it wodbe even better if you lower the bump velue a bit and reduce the overall reflectivity,
great work,keep going.

05 May 2005, 02:29 PM
ops,wrong word i think
not reflectivity,should it be wetness?

05 May 2005, 02:34 PM
thanks wuxi, i think i've mentioned earlier it must be that oily look,i will fix it i promise

05 May 2005, 02:55 PM (

mai closeup expression

05 May 2005, 03:09 PM
Wow, are you a designer of Final fantasy the movie

05 May 2005, 03:18 PM
I really like your heads. How are you doing the hair?

I also vote for a slight reduction in the bump map...

05 May 2005, 04:22 PM
nice work here :)
Maybe you should try to lower the specular reflects of the skin and bump too. Concerning the bump map, finer grain would be better onto the face.

05 May 2005, 04:43 PM
Very nice work on the face, you did an amazing job

05 May 2005, 05:45 PM
i prefer azumi character waay better,i'll keep an eye on this thread, even if i am 2d.

05 May 2005, 08:30 PM
very nice. also think the bump is too high.

05 May 2005, 05:16 PM
thanks to all of you guys for the c&c.about the bump &specular i will definetly fix that. Illusion digital thanks for the complement im flattered, but im not that good yet man, infact this is my first human character i've made from scratch, this is actually a study for me and if you look at it carefully you will notice several mistakes, theres something a bit funny about the overall proportions, for example the distance beetwen eyes and eybrows are a bit to far apart...i just realized it fre3d the hair were merely plane & opacity it was kind of luck that it worked.once again thanks to all of you

05 May 2005, 04:55 PM
Hi Hario!

Great modeling skill you have there:thumbsup:...just low a bit the bump value...the sweet aspect are just seems that she ran to take this photo:) the way how did you go with the hair and eyebrow stuff?..I'm looking for a solution my self....keep it up friend:wip:. see ya!

MyMasterAndServant (

05 May 2005, 02:49 AM (

hai miyagi this is texture i used for the hair and eyebrow its quite simple, i used plane with UVW modifier applied to it then add editable poly to edit the shape of the hair and then finally apply meshmooth the way iused 3dsmax and thanks for the comment....and about why she sweated out maybe because shes in panic..thanks for reminds me of that so i dont have to fix that anymore.. what a coincidence.. lucky for me.

05 May 2005, 03:03 AM (

05 May 2005, 12:11 AM (

05 May 2005, 12:32 AM

05 May 2005, 01:40 PM
Interesting scene and good realization. but I think that sword might be better... :) esp. hand-part - looks like just black plastic..
