Kinjal Mitra has entered the Master and Servant 2D.

Latest Update: Coloring WIP: More color

I've tampered with the layout and moved some things around, also toned down the colors an now I'm making the guy a little more "junkie" like, he was too muscular before, not the effect I'm looking for...
I don't know if I can finish this, I'll try but I just had surgery on a finger so, it's a little hard using modifier keys in photoshop, if it's too much, I'll skip this one and wait for the next contest...

so I have done more shading, adding nuances and whatnot and refined the outline, I took a suggestion from the last challenge and I'm shading it tonally in grey for value study before I color it, I don't usually do it this way but with this one it's working nicely.

One last refinement before I'm off on vacation for a week or so, anyway in case it's not obvious the drug is the "master", addiction to something is something most of us can relate to I believe (some worse than others), so much as the fantasy stuff is fun and impressive I thought I'd explore this route just to be contrar
although it doesn't seem to be sparking any interest, feedback would be appreciated :)

Nice stuff! One comment... at the moment the hand that is near the shoulder looks like it is holding the shoulder. If it were a bit further higher up you wouldn't have this problem. Also the end of the belt (the bit in his teeth) needs to be more twisted.

Yeah... This is working nice... If you can pull off the light source from his upper right like it looks like you can, this could be quite good.

Jack - thanks for the comments I agree and I will try both suggestions as soon as I get a moment to work on this!

Igorstshirts - thanks, I was having a bit of a problem resolving the shadow upper right I think I will tackle that area also asap

ok I couldn't work on this for a week but tonight/tomorrow I may have a moment to fix the problems, hopefully then I will start to block in colors and get this thing going!!

I've incorporated some suggestions ie; moving the hand w/ the syringe back and up a bit to get it to look like it's closer to the vein instead of the bicep, I also changed the tip of the belt so it looks more like it's being bent and now I start the coloring process....just blocking in colors and playing with the light source (the lamp) I'm trying to imagine a low wattage bulb in a crummy hotel or flophouse with dingy walls and furniture - although you mostly just see the main guy that's what I'm thinking about as I paint
