This is a quick concept sketch of the slave robot. The idea was to make him simple, bland and rusty. Slaves are poor, down creatures. The master robot will be shinnier, larger and more intimidating. Let me know what you guys think.

sounds like a good idea, but dont forget that one of your characters must be fully human!!

i hope to see more, its a very well done concept, good luck :)

Took a closer look at the contest and yep, at least one the characters has to be human. Will be kinda tricky for me as organic modeling is not my forte. Lets see how far I get. Thanks for the heads up guys.

Sorry guys for not posting much lately. I've been beefing up my box modeling knowlege for the organic modeling I have to do. I should have some more concept sketches up later today. I've pretty much decided to use wings3d for the modeling tool and then blender for the rendering. I'd like to hear from anyone whose used these tools in combination and any advice or suggestions. See ya later.

Finally put my main concept on paper. I've had this image kicking around in my head for a while. I'm going for a really dynamic approach with various intersecting lines of action; fore, middle, and background elecments. Please critique.

Just started to hammer out some modeling for the project. I'm using Silo for the task, I recommend this really great program to anyone. It has a fine toolset and is really cheap ($109).

Some more work on the mesh for the main character.

Added more detail to the human model. Started working on the torso too.

Your sketch is very funny and the perspective is very interesting, i like the robot to hold the building.
