Started my human modeling. Messing with the head thought I'd upload a pic. Needs definite refinement but as I said just a "start."

Scrapped other start. Tried to reuse character from one of my other projects. Decided best to start over. Tell me what ya think.

I like this new start much more. It is showing much more knowledge of anatomy. How are you rendering these? Are you using a particular renderer, like Brazil? Is this straight out of 3DMax?

More comment, I like the direction the eyes are going, but the nose structure needs work methinks. A great source for anatomy is Burne Hogarth's Dynamic Anatomy. I have found it very useful. It breaks down the human anatomy, to the smallest detail, with simpler geometric-type shapes. You might find it useful.

really nice start on the face, i especially like all the detail in the eye area. i agree that the nose could use a little more attention, but at this early stage it's probably needless to say some things need tweaking. good work!

Been hard at work... I hate head modeling. Anyways, thanx for the replies. I appreciate any and all crits. I spent most of my time the last day getting this far. I also fixed the nose; I think its in a better direcion. Beaner I use Lightwave and this is directly rendered out with faked radiosity. Thanx for the tip on the book, Ill have to check it out.

Hi doophuus, his head evolved well, Ithink you wanna just get a good shot of some relevant anatomy for his bod and get it into your 3d app as a reference for proportion and placement.
Other than that I'd advise that your torso looks a bit too long or stretched.

Lessen the distance between shoulders and armpits
Widen the breast
Lift legs upwards (the distance between belly pit and genital area must be approximately half of your picture's)

Kuz and Daddy.. Thanx for your crit I am working on those suggestions as well as others. I will have a new update shortly. It is a lot nicer to have someone on the outside looking in. I find sometimes I become so absorbed, tunnelvision so to speak, that I cant see the "easy" problems. Thanx again.
