I finally could put my minds on paper. As everyone can see, this is just a short sketch. But I tried to make the atmosphere obvious that I like to reach in my final image.

The picture has low size, so not everybody will understand the displayed persons. But never mind, I will continue working.

The location of this scene is a cave. The three persons in the middle consist of a teutonic knight and two (or maybe three - I am not quite sure) angels as bodyguards. They are surrounded by some kind of monsters. I think I could replace the big two monsters from the sides. A whole bunch of monsters would make it more epical.
The lightning comes from the ceiling. It is meant as the religious power and as a kind of last hope. I had also the idea to let the angels shine like ghosts or something. The reflections on the water will be funny ;). So lets see what comes out...

Two of my friends don't see the 'master & servant' role in my work.
Maybe one of you has the same problem.
Please write me, if something doesn't seem clear enough.
But before you write, read the text i have written to my first sketch.

Ok, You don't have to stop to one idea. First thing you should do is play more with yor ideas. Draw whatever comes in your head. Make a bunch of thumbnails. You'll see that after each draw you'll get other better ideas. That's the way you can make it work. After that yow can start drawing using one or two of your favorit thumbnails as base to a more elaborate concept where you can play with character and environment designs. This is a good practice. I'm doing that all the time before I get to work on the final image.

Very cool taz23, thanks. You are quite right. Yesterday when I talked about my pic with a friend, I had another idea that was completely different. But I was too tired to make a sketch :) . I will hurry to post it.
This challenge makes a lot of fun.:scream:
