this is an image I made for portfolio and I'm still not very happy with it, allthough I think I'm done with modelling
tell me what you think, but more important, give me sugestions and tips.

cant think of any real crits, maybe add some more details too the scene, like the rocks and stuff, overall i like it

I really like the modeling of the faces and the bike looks great too. I would put less of a bump on the ground and a more detailed texture on it and on those rocks. The texture on the floor and the hill in the back is just out of scale. Try texturing everything. The lighting right now looks a little flat. I think you need more contrast and more defined shadows, kinda looks like the bikes floating. Also if hes going that fast there should be some motion blur. Keep it up!

I kind of agree with all of you, and yes, the dog was ment to be a sort of analogie with milo in the mask.
the sky is a personal photo.
it was modeled in 3dsmax4.2 using.... well, every thing I could think of actually :rolleyes:
I chaged the light and contrast, and used some fotografic textures. added some motion blur.

oh and red-neck is just a word we know from america!

the eyes are causing me tons of problems. The head is so big but the eyes are so small? Also there is a big slice almost right next to his eye it looks way to deep to be a wrinkle

psychoace: the original design does have small eyes. I trying to keep up to it.
about the wrinckle, you're probably right, although its a wrinkle that shows because he is smiling. but I'm just trying to improve it.

Try to adjust the Shadow bias of the main light, so the shadows get a more correct placement , right now ti looks a bit too far back.
otherwise the last one is quite an improvement
