That's some really solid rendering! I like what you've done with this so far! I agree with ghost about Alice's head: I think the earlier post had a better shape to the head, especially the top and back of the head, which bulges kind of funny in the latest vrsion.

But back to the basic concept, I have to confess i really don't see how this fits the theme of Master and Servant. I remember Alice following the White Rabbit down the hole, and meeting him at the Mad Hatter's Tea Party... But I was never left with the impression of he being her master and her being his servant. Nor the other way around. Their expressions in this piece don't help clarify which one you think is which. It can be a little tricky, using characters and situations with which all of us are very familiar: We bring a lot of interpretations to the work based on our own experiences with it which have nothing to do necessarily with your painting. Sorry to point that out, just thought it might be something worth thinking about.

Anyhow, good luck with it. I like your rendering a lot!

This is a very interesting entry. I really like the rendering. However, the image does not show the master and servant concept. You may need a strong write-up to explain to the viewers why this fits into the contest. Although, I think a really good entry for this contest need not be explained by text, but just by looking at the image.

Anyway, I would just suggest that you emphasize more on their expressions, since you chose a close-up view of your characters. Capitalize more on their faces..show that Rabbit is really angry at Alice and she is really frightened of Rabbit.

I hope you do good with this entry.

Probably, it is time to describe the concept of my picture. The rabbit has accepted Alice for the servant. It has agreed with this role though the rabbit that was invented by Alice.

I am not sure how I missed this entry, but what a wonderfully charming illustration. I especially like the inclusion of Bill the lizard. When I was a child, that was my favorite part of that chapter, when Bill got kicked out of the chimney. "There goes Bill!"

The tone is so clean; very beautifully done. And I think everyone knows the master/servant relationship here. They were looking for iconigraphic images, and you can't get much more iconigraphic than the white rabbit and alice.. eh?

Best of luck in the challenge..
