View Full Version : uv mapped displacement

i wanted to model the stone wall of a well using a displacement map. i generated the uv map using meni's technique. i applied the map, and everything was fine untill i realized the surface editor still asked for just one axis of displacement. this obviously won't work for something like a well.
any suggestions for how to get around this?

Stop trying because as far as I know, UV doesn't work for displacement map in LW 7.0b.
Try with a cylindrical projection if it's for a well or simply model the blocks, you'll get more control.

yeah i think i'm going to have to model the bricks. i just though i was about to be clever there for a minute :)....oh well....i was close....it worked...just only in one axis.
